My usual dining companion, Barcelona Boy, always goes for the Rhodos which is "souzouki, souvlaki, schnitzel, lamb cutlets and giros". On this occasion, the lamb was well cooked; crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. The pork was tasty and a little bit dry, I am told. The beef was soft, well cooked and slightly spicy. I have just returned from a one week holiday at the Rhodos Maris in Rhodes and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Before going on the holiday I read some terrible reviews but as I had already booked myself and my partner decided to go with an open mind and hope for the best. The important thing to note is that the hotel is rated as 5star by some websites/travel brochures, however you have to be realistic, this is Rhodes 5 star not New York 5 star.
On arrival at the hotel we checked in within a couple of minutes and were directed to our room by the friendly staff, our bags were taken for us and arrived at the room just as we did.

a friend i had similar problems on holiday rhodes. booked mitsis rhodos, put in rhodos village. the hotel itself was ok but the attitude of the rep was disgraceful! the website advertised the mitsis, which is where we expected to be, the rep told us it could have been either or!!!!! for us, we wanted low level accommodation which the mitsis offered, so that we didn't have to worry about high balconies. the drop from our balcony was 30 ft!
in all, the holiday was ok but the attitude of the company was appaling, the rep refused to admit the misrepresentation of the hotel eventhough they changed the ad to include the two names of the hotels there before we returned.
