Dollar Rent A Car Worldwide

Love the Dodge Charger which i had rented from Herz in Februari 2012, i rented one from Dollar in May. Car brands are always "or similar" because a car may not be available. Kind of strange because when you book a car 3 weeks ahead it is supposed to be waiting for you isn't it! Anyway, the Charger was not available, why?? BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE DODGE CHARGERS AVAILABLE AT ALL! I was angry because i could have rented the Impala they gave me much cheaper elsewhere! So dollar advertises cars they don't have to lure you and then give you a lesser car which is cheaper with other companies!

Next i was charged a full tank of gas at an outrageous rate, what used to be the fuel service "option", which i was however obliged to to take DESPITE the fact that i had made enquiries about it in advance and was told by two dollar employees that the car could be returned with a full tank of gas!

But no, dollar was not prepared to give up the bit of gas that is usually left in the tank because you want to make sure that you make it to the airport. I was charged $94 immediately with hefty extra fuel taxes which are supposed to be incorporated in the gallon price!!

Not the least disturbing was the fact that the dollar staff, including the manager, thought my stress because of all this, after 11 hours of travelling with a 2 hour drive ahead was very amusing. None of my objections was taken seriously!

Filing a complaint about this had an embarrassing letter from dollar as result; they are so "committed" , i am such a "valued" customer and they "strive" to provide the best service. They also seemed to think that i would rent from dollar again!

Folks, do NOT give this bunch of ill manered amateurs the opportunity to rip you off and humiliate you!! Do yourself a BIG favor !!
