My 80 year old mother and I were recently on holiday in St Andrews and wished to have lunch at the Doll's House. When we arrived at the restaurant, we could see that all the inside tables were free and also half of those outside. We went inside, only to be told by a waitress that the restaurant was full and that no tables were available. This was endorsed in a very condescending manner, by a gentleman, who told us to come back in 45 minutes. My mother and I are respectable people and do not expect to be treated in this manner. We love visiting St Andrews, as we normally are treated in a warm and friendly manner, but we will never visit this establishment again.
