There is a big and beautiful Sea Garden in Varna. There are small restaurants in the Garden near the Sea. You will have the pleasure to taste the fresh fish with beer and salad.

You may drink a coffee in the Dolphinarium and observe the dolphins. One of the walls of the coffe is from transparent glass and the dolphins pass from time to time in front of the glass.

About the Dolphinarium
If you visit Varna, I recommend you that you spare the time for the interesting show in the Dolphinarium. The Dolphinarium is near the beautiful Varna's Sea Garden. So, after the show you may go for a walk and breathe the fresh sea air.

The pool seems to be small for the dolphins but as I know there is a project to renovate and enlarge it.
About the show
You will listen to the dolphin's song, watch them dance and play with a ball.
They jump 5 meters. Their synchronous jump is really attractive.
The dolphins are so kind that you have the feeling that they smile.
If you are a volunteer and you are selected, you may enter in a boat in the middle of the pool an one of the dolphins will save you.
My son was very happy to see the dolphins and we will go to show again when we visit Varna.
A visit to Varna was one of the highlights of my holiday in Bulgaria this summer. There's something for everyone. For the young there is a Dolphinarium, which, unfortuneately I didn't find time to visit. Between the Dolphinarium and the town centre are the Sea Gardens. These gardens contain a 'Monument to Fighters Against Fascism' (they lost), a long tree lined avenue with wide, well tended flower beds down the middle and busts of figures from Bulgarias history along the sides, large sundial, nightclub and a museum.
The shoping area itself is mainly along one straight road from the Sea Gardens to the Cathedral of the Assumption. Goods in the shops are reasonably priced but more expensive than other parts of Bulgaria (with the exception of Sofia). The only problem we had was that an English guy who runs anestate agents in the town ...

Advantages: Sun, sea, trees and more Disadvantages: Some dodgy hotels
My first visit to St Konstantine was in 2003. If I had been writing this review then I would have given a very different perspective on the resort. However being a brave or foolish lady I decided to go back and give it another chance. I am so glad I did because I had a brilliant holiday although not without minor inconveniences.
Prelude Holiday 2003 - What a disaster
Looking at holiday brochures my friend and I decided that we would pay a few pounds extra and have a 2 week holiday rather than just one week. We rather liked the look of Bulgaria and as neither of us had ever been there - we like to try new places - We liked the look of the 4* Hotel Ritza in St Konstantine so duly booked a half board holiday from Balkan Holidays at a cost of about £450 - bargain so we thought.

Arrived at Varna ...
Advantages: beautiful town, much to offer from a cultural point, good shopping Disadvantages: none
the bus no. 8 who departs in the center of the resort and goes alongside the coast to Varna. There is a bus stop in front of the Dolphinarium, then it?s the Sports Complex (?Sportna Zala?), the following stop is the School of Economics. The bus then passes the Hotel Cherno More right in the city and stops in front of the municipality (?Obshtina?) and after just in front of the big cathedral. The drive takes around 25mins and costs less than 0, 50 ?. The bus runs every 30mins in summer time.
If you stay at Golden Sands 20km north of Varna, you have several possibilities to get into town. In general, you can take all busses that end with 9: 9, 109, and 409. The route is the same as described above, just longer, about 40 mins.
Tourists in Albena can catch one of the vans that go directly to the city (cathedral) within about 1 hour ...
