...This lovely llittle resort is quite relaxing and the staff make your stay memorable. This double storey white portegese style hotel has lovely guest rooms with comfortable clean beds and great views of the swimming pool or front garden. Staff here are lovely and very helpful and make your stay as comfortable as possible there was no internet when we stayed or gym however it had a great little restlurant that seats about 20 people and an additon is a wonderful poolside restuarant that has just been completed The food is of a high standard and the waiting staff have a wonderful wayl of helping to select the best from the kitchen. Fish and other Keralian delights are available and plentiful The prices are very inexpensive and portions generous.The staff however could do with new uniforms, which are at present looking worn and a little...

Advantages: Central location, close to Cathedral Disadvantages: Busy
...My wife and I visit the Dom regularly and it cannot be faulted. Central location next door to the Cathedral, close to the main shopping areas and 5 minutes walk from the River and the Old Town. We have visited for the Christmas Markets - and if you have a cathedral view room you can feel the market right outside your window, listen to the hustle and bustle and hear the musical enterainment. We have also visited the Koln Carnival and were woken every night at 1.00am by a full marching band parading up and down outside of the hotel - the locals told us it was part of the Carnival proceedings!!! Lke all Meridien hotels the restaurant is excellent ( the sunday brunch is something to behold ), the rooms are spacious and well appointed - the hotel was completely refurbished in 2003 and staff friendly and welcoming....

...The Hotel Nikko was one of the best I have visited in the US.
We relocated to the Nikko, because our original hotel was right next to a tramline on a busy street and they were very unhelpful when we asked to move room.
The contrast when we moved to the Nikko couldn't have been greater. It was like an oasis of calm in the middle of frenetic San Francisco.
The staff were friendly and courteous and we spent a few very enjoyable days in and around San Francisco in the knowledge that we were coming back to a sanctuary every evening.
Our room was excellent. It was beautifully decorated with an oriental touch. I think the hotel is Japanese owned, which would explain the decor. In addition, our room had great views over the city, even though the location is quite low down on the skyline.
