This is a must-go spot in Seoul. It used to be part of the city gate but now it has become the symbol of Seoul. The gate seats on a big roundabout and it's surrounded by various big department store. The area near the gate is now a very vibrant area with shops and eating places that are open 24 hours a day. It's a place for bargain goods such as clothes and shoes. It's also the place for souvenir shopping as the prices are much more competitive than any other tourist spots.
How to get there: Get off at Dongdaemun Stadium Subway Station (Seoul Subway Line No. 2) Exit No.1 and walk for 15 minutes.
Get off at Dongdaemun Stadium Subway Station (Seoul Subway Line No. 4) Exit No.4 and walk for 5 minutes.
