My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in early September. the hotel itself appears quite new, and so all the usual facilities you would expect and want at a standard modern hotel are there. .
Staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful, both with quickly processing our reservation, and providing advice about local facilities.
Within 5 minutes walk of the hotel there are numerous restaurants/bars ranging from American, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, brewery chains offering food & drink, the usual fast-food (McDonalds, Subway etc etc). Just make sure when you leave the hotel you get your beraings right and turn left towards the main part of town. If you go right you fairly quickly get to some rather 'quiet' and lonely parts of the city, especially on an evening! The hotel also has it's own restaurant just off the lobby area. The hotel aslo had access to a pool and gym/leisure facilities, but we didn't try them so I can't comment on them.
Boston Common and access to the Freedom Trail and other city attractions is about an easy 10 minute stroll from the hotel through the theatre area.
Getting to the hotel from the airport is simple, and cheap if you want to take the subway. There is a subway station (N.E. Medical Centre) about 100 metres or so from the hotel front door, and the fare was only $1.25 each from Logan Airport. We were quoted $40-50 for a taxi for the same journey. We felt safe on the subway, and my wife was 6 months pregnant at the time!
The only draw-back to this hotel is that it is adjacent to the Tufts/N.E. Medical Centre, and you can get disturbed occasionally by ambulances coming and going with sirens on. However this was only a minor issue, and we only heard 2 or 3 in the 3 days we were there. It's no louder than any usual city centre hotel.
Overall I would heartily recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a clean, confortable, modern hotel, close to the city facilities .......... and the choc-chip cookies from reception are wonderful !

As mentioned below the review concentrates more on the facilities around the hotel rather than the hotel itself. Happy to read again if you do add more and this can easily be done by using the edit feature in the top centre of your review as you read it. Fionaxx

I'm sorry for the low rating but I would have liked to find out more about the hotel and its facilities, what the rooms and bathrooms are like, the general cleanliness, the price, what was included like meals and so on.
