It is currently under restoration with fund raising days which double up as open days where you get to see reenactments of Wars and fights. It is also a very nice place to walk around as you can admire the wonderful view of Dover and its ports. The Dover Western Heights is one of the positive places on Dover. It is currently under restoration with fund raising days which double up as open days where you get to see reenactments of Wars and fights. It is also a very nice place to walk around as you can admire the wonderful view of Dover and its ports. The open days are not very well advertised so it is advised that you look online rather than asking people for details. Restoration has already began with stairs being refitted and also buildings being made safe to go in. All of this is put together by nice willing teams of everyday people ranging from prison officers to doctors! THere also is a nature wwalk around the site so it can be very relaxing. It really is a nice day out for all the family!
