I just love this place, i do go to dubai atleast once a year. i just love to be here, its good place to visit, good for shopping, lovely food and you will find verything that you want over here. The ice park, can any one belive that this country has a ice park in it where its considered to be a desert, they are going up in technolgies. It is one of the emirates of UAE, itshares legal, political, military and economic functions with the other cities within a federal framework, although each city has jurisdiction over some functions such as civic law enforcement and provision and upkeep of local facilities. Its current King, Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum, and he is also the Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE. Its revenues are from trade, manufacturing and financial services. The Local Currency Use over here is Dhiram. it is considered to be an important tourist destination,has the largest man-made harbor in the world. it is also increasingly developing as a hub for service industries such as IT and finance. The government has set up industry-specific free zones throughout the city. It Is divided in two parts by the sea which runs between the city and you also can go from one part to other by the Abras(Boats), which i feel is a fun ride. It has a diverse and multicultural society, it has manpower mainly from the asian Continent. Its Shopping festival is the best time to shop there, its shopping festival was segregated into many major attractions all with one purpose, to have as many ways of entertaining the guests to the city, and catering to each and every individual segment's visiting from around the world, the loyalty of the local expatriate populations definitely finds a reason to become even more attached to the city that brings to them their own culture every year.. The diversity of cuisine is a reflection of the cosmopolitan nature of the society. Arab food is very popular and is available everywhere in the city, from the small shawarma diners in Deira and Al Karama to the upscale restaurants in its many hotels. Fast food, South Asian, Chinese cuisines are also very popular and are widely available. The sale and consumption of pork, though not illegal, is regulated and is sold only to non-Muslims, in designated areas. Similarly, the sale of alcoholic beverages is regulated. A liquor permit is required to purchase alcohol; however, alcohol is available in bars and restaurants within four or five star hotels.Shisha and qahwa boutiques are also popular Here Hollywood and Bollywood movies are popular . Football & Cricket are loved over here. The derby is also famous a s it holds the world Largets Derby race over here. It has a well established network of print, radio, television and electronic media which service the city. Its Gold Souk,The souk consists of over 300 retailers that trade almost exclusively in jewellery. Retailers in the souk include both well established stores like Damas, ARY Jewellery and Joy Allukas Jewellery as well as smaller stores that operate almost exclusively in the gold souk. The Gold Souk is situated in the locality of Al Dhagaya. It has Burj Al Arab its the worls seven star hotel,The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island out from Jumeirah beach..
