ProClean, modern and well maintained building

ConsQueues at times

So, here I am sitting in the Departure Lounge in Terminal One of Dublin Airport, waiting for the gate number to be announced for our flight home. To be fair, we did get here stupidly early 'just in case' to allow time for traffic, the unpredictable security check in and due to parental anxiety...

ConsHorrible, dingy and dated airport - to be avoided

I was going to write a review on Dublin Airport a while back, because the majority of opinions on this site seemed to paint a rather dismal picture – and the fact was, I rather liked it. That was until I saw a whole different side (literally) to the place which has coloured my judgement somewhat...

~ ~ The airport in Dublin is roughly eight miles to the North of the city, just off the main N1 road to Belfast. As a taxi-driver here in Dublin, I probably spend about half my life hanging around, picking up, and dropping off here, so I can safely say that I have a fairly intimate knowledge of...

Consdepartures and arrivals in the same place

Having read some of the opinions on here I was wondering what we were going to find when we got to Dublin. I needn't have worried. The plane touched down and seemed to travel on for ever - it's a very long runway! Taxied and got to the arrivals pier quite quickly and we were off the plane before...

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN December 2001 INTRODUCTION The Ciao reviews about Dublin airport varied from very good to a third world airport. So I was intrigued to know which opinions were accurate. My wife and I travelled to Dublin in December 2001. LONDON TO DUBLIN FLIGHT We had to report at Heathrow...

Dublin has grown enormously over the past 10yrs, and its airport has tried to keep up to pace. It has done so in some repects, others are still lagging. Situated on the north of the city, getting there isn't too hard, if you can get out of Dublin city centre! There is the 747 bus service which...

ProNice staff

ConsSmall old airport

When I flew into Dublin last year, I did not realise what a shock I was in for. There I was, expecting this hustling and bustling International airport full of the latest shops, facilities and eateries, the same as Gatwick or Stansted. Instead I was presented with a very old delapidated type...

Proit´s easy to find everything because it is small

Consit´s a bit boring for the same reason

The first time I arrived at this airport I found it chaotic. I don´t know why, but there where lots of people in the arrivals lounge. Maybe there was a strike or something, I really don´t know, but I didn´t like it one bit. That was three years ago and this summer I decided to go back to Dublin...

ConsLack of Shops,

Dublin Airport is located approximately 6 miles north Of Dublin and can be easily accessed via taxi, train, or coach. Prointernational, national and regional flights

Consvast and unattractive

When you land on the runway in Dublin, it can look like a barren landscape... Don't be deceived. Some aircraft do park some distance from the terminal, but transport is quick and modern. The majority of flights from the UK and within Ireland arrive at one of the "gondolas". Sadly , this means a...

You see, the thing I've always found about Dublin is that it is a lovely place trying to be a European city. It's not. Ireland is a plain and simple place, which is a fantastic feature - where else can you find a city of this size with such a friendly population, so homely and down to earth - but...

Dublin is not an expensive city to visit Dublin has been unfairly described as an expensive city to visit. As a Dubliner I disagree and believe that like most popular capital cities if visitors hunt for bargains and listen to local's advice they'll find that Dublin is not expensive at all. There's a helpful local website for budget conscious visitors called Free Dublin www.freedublin.com Above all enjoy Dublin - it's waiting to enjoy you. P.S. Happy to help all Dublin visitors (especially accommodation) - please see profile
