Disadvantages: Rude, rude, rude staff, dirty, overpriced, run-down, NO air-conditioning

Very rude and unhelpfull staff - every time I went down to the front desk, they were eating something - pizza, bangers and mash or similar. The cleaning lady started unlocking my door to enter the room while I was in there - without knocking! My room was very tiny, the TV was horrible, tiny with only 4 channels, the back of the remote was taped with duck tape, and there is NO air-conditioning at the hotel at all. Shelbourne Hotel Dublin

Advantages: Excellent location, Lovely rooms, friendly staff.
Disadvantages: This hotel is so good you don't want to leave!

I stayed at the Shelbourne hotel last year and was very impressed. The decor of the hotel is lovely. The Bedrooms have everything you need - very comfy bed, mini bar etc, 24 hour room service (room service menu is very good), and also the bathroom has the best shower! I stayed at the Bewleys Hotel once before flying out from Dublin Airport, its a great location if you chose to fly from Dublin and live quite far away from it.
