The Westin, best hotel to date!
Advantages: Location, service, food, bars...the list goes on! Disadvantages: It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.
...off very close to The Westin just outside Trinity College) and you also get free entry into the majority of Dublin’s attractions, I would thoroughly recommend this.
When we arrived at our stop the bus driver then directed everyone towards where they were staying, when we said ‘The Westin’ the bus driver looked impressed saying something along the lines of ‘best hotel around that is’….a taste of what was to come!
Check-in
So as we approached the ... ...(if you look on The Westin website you can see pictures of The Atrium and can see that the wall is lined with windows).
The Room
We were very impressed with the room in which we stayed in, it wasn’t a huge room but was in no way inadequate and was very tastefully decorated. As we walked in there was a cupboard to our left (containing dressing gowns, a free to use safe, drawers and coat hangers with plenty of space for all our clothes and our empty ...

Dublin Hilton deserves a toast in Guinness
Advantages: Excellent Dublin base with good service Disadvantages: None really
...quest to stay in 3 Hilton hotels during December and January and claim my free £50 Visa card as a reward, by staying at the Hilton Hotel Dublin: http://www1.hilton.com/enUS/hi/hotel/DUBDUHN-Hilton-Dublin-hotel/index.do As usual I went into the Hilton website - http://hhonors.hilton.com via Quidco in order to get my 6% cashback. There was also a Sony Playstation, but I'm not into them so didn't use it, but I guess it would make the hotel family friendly for many! Best of all - on the coffee table by the chaise longue was a note saying "compliments of the Hilton" in front of a half bottle of red wine and a box containing 2 truffles, one milk chocolate and the other white choccy. Obviously for the ...

Great hotel with Celtic towels and enormous beds
Advantages: Big rooms & very clean - massive beds - great value Disadvantages: ten minutes walk to city centre, bit of a grotty street
With Holiday Inn you can pretty much guarantee a standard kind of accommodation. I have always found them to be pleasant and really enjoy staying with the chain. However this hotel was really particularly pleasant. The breakfast is wonderful as it operates the briliant facility of 'all you can (or 'want to' if you must!) eat' - you can get your money's worth and pile it good and high. No need to stop for lunch then! Be warned though, if you cannot ... ...good value, very good food (lots of it too) and decent service. I have always had a lovely break with Holiday Inn and I love the anonymity of it being a large chain. This Dublin hotel is very big, comfy and clean and I found it understatedly plush. Great value. ...

Where's the airport? Oh - 5 miles away...!
Advantages: Well run hotel Disadvantages: Not near City Centre and 5 miles from the airport.
...for one of the regular Hilton Hotel deals which they send by email. This offered a £50 Visa card for free if you stayed in 3 Hilton Group hotels between December and January. Not a bad offer.
I already had one stay from December so once my Dublin trip finally firmed up I decided to go for the £50 award by using 2 Hilton hotels during my short visit. It didn't work out any more expensive and the free £50 definitely made up for having to pay more ... ...usual, I went into the Hilton site at http://hhonors.hilton.com via the Quidco website, (www.quidco.com) which meant I got 6% cashback, not to be sneezed at even if it does take a while to come through! Dublin's trendiest and most modern hotel
Advantages: Great location and very stylish Disadvantages: None to think of
Dublin's trendiest hotel by far. The interior is designed by famous Irishman John Rocha who most famously designs jewellery and clothes for Debenhams. It is very stylish inside, with dark wood and cream leather giving the hotel an Asian feel I haven't experienced anywhere before.
The rooms are each individually designed with paintings and fur throws. They come with a host of amenities including minibar, TV, radio, CD player, QueenSize bed and great ... ...The location is truly superb, close to Millenium Bridge that leads you to the Temple Bar area, full of bars and restaurants, whilst just 3 minutes walk takes you into the centre of town which is a shoppers paradise, with the main high street stores you will find in the UK, along with nice Irish department stores.
This hotel is well recommended, for business and pleasure. I will certainly be returning. ...
