The Westin, best hotel to date!
Review of Westin Hotel, Dublin by charlottemt

Advantages: Location, service, food, bars...the list goes on!
Disadvantages: It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.

...off very close to The Westin just outside Trinity College) and you also get free entry into the majority of Dublin’s attractions, I would thoroughly recommend this. When we arrived at our stop the bus driver then directed everyone towards where they were staying, when we said ‘The Westin’ the bus driver looked impressed saying something along the lines of ‘best hotel around that is’….a taste of what was to come! Check-in So as we approached the ...
...(if you look on The Westin website you can see pictures of The Atrium and can see that the wall is lined with windows). The Room We were very impressed with the room in which we stayed in, it wasn’t a huge room but was in no way inadequate and was very tastefully decorated. As we walked in there was a cupboard to our left (containing dressing gowns, a free to use safe, drawers and coat hangers with plenty of space for all our clothes and our empty ... Read review

A great hotel in Dublin
Review of Quality Hotel Leisure Centre, Dublin by gem686

Advantages: Cheap, great food, great leisure facilities,
Disadvantages: Located away from shops, bars and restaurants

I stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions in 2007. My first visit was for St Patricks Day and we booked this hotel because it was cheap even though this would be their busiest weekend. We booked a triple room for 4 nights arriving on a Thursday and departing Monday. On our first visit we got the airport bus which costs 5 Euros. We got off the bus at O'Connell Street and then got a taxi as it was late at night to the hotel. The hotel is located ...
...direction of the Sea. It is located near The Point so is a good location for attending concerts and events. It is approximately 15 minutes walk to O'Connell Street, the main shopping areas of Grafton Street and Henry Street and Temple Bar. It might seem like a long walk back after a night out in Temple Bar but the walk back helps sober you up! The hotel is just off the road that runs alongside the river. Opposite the hotel is a building site which ... Read review

Great hotel with Celtic towels and enormous beds
Review of Holiday Inn Dublin City Centre, Dublin by BlueDruid

Advantages: Big rooms & very clean - massive beds - great value
Disadvantages: ten minutes walk to city centre, bit of a grotty street

With Holiday Inn you can pretty much guarantee a standard kind of accommodation. I have always found them to be pleasant and really enjoy staying with the chain. However this hotel was really particularly pleasant. The breakfast is wonderful as it operates the briliant facility of 'all you can (or 'want to' if you must!) eat' - you can get your money's worth and pile it good and high. No need to stop for lunch then! Be warned though, if you cannot ...
...good value, very good food (lots of it too) and decent service. I have always had a lovely break with Holiday Inn and I love the anonymity of it being a large chain. This Dublin hotel is very big, comfy and clean and I found it understatedly plush. Great value. ... Read review

Stamping in Dublin
Review of La Stampa, Dublin by bigfatdogs

Advantages: In the very centre of Dublin, Reasonable Prices, Excellent Room service
Disadvantages: Noisey in rooms ove weekend, No car park

We recently stayed at LaStampa, 35 Dawson Street, Dublin. The Hotel is located right in the heart of Dublin, within easy walking of St Stephens Green, Grafton St and Temple Bar. The hotel is a 4 star hotel and has 29 rooms. It is easy to miss the hotel unless you actually know where it is. Located on Dawson street it is surrounded by Dublin cafe culture. The building is fairly old but is going through major incremental renovations. The building is ...
...to the reception. The staff were excellent, taking over immediately from this point, with a porter quickly taking bags and escorting you to you bedroom. Unfortunately you have to go down through the bar to get to the lifts to the rooms. On getting into the rooms we were absolutely won over with the standard of the rooms. The rooms were of a very high standard with natural wood products and modern soft furnishing. This was a romantic weekend, and ... Read review

A Merry old time in Dublin
Review of Merrion Hotel, Dublin by bigfatdogs

Advantages: High Quaility, Beautiful Hotel, Sheer Style
Disadvantages: No onsite car parking

...to review somewhere like the Merrion Hotel, its just such an awing experience. We went to the Merrion as a special pre Christmas weekend to Dublin. I had not stayed there before and was going purely on its reputation and the recommendation of my partner, who had stayed before. The Merrion Hotel, Upper Merrion Street, Dublin 2, Ireland, was a delightful experience from the moment we decided to visit it. As you approach it you are immediately put ...
...rest of the hotel the Merrion rooms were spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Service The quality did not stop just at the arrival. We were going out that night, and as usual I was not as prepared as I should have been. I contacted room service to see if I could get an iron. In fact the room service just took the two shirts (I couldn't decide which to wear) away and returned them about 30 minutes later very well pressed. No coffee ... Read review
