The Westin, best hotel to date!
Advantages: Location, service, food, bars...the list goes on! Disadvantages: It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.
...off very close to The Westin just outside Trinity College) and you also get free entry into the majority of Dublin’s attractions, I would thoroughly recommend this.
When we arrived at our stop the bus driver then directed everyone towards where they were staying, when we said ‘The Westin’ the bus driver looked impressed saying something along the lines of ‘best hotel around that is’….a taste of what was to come!
Check-in
So as we approached the ... ...(if you look on The Westin website you can see pictures of The Atrium and can see that the wall is lined with windows).
The Room
We were very impressed with the room in which we stayed in, it wasn’t a huge room but was in no way inadequate and was very tastefully decorated. As we walked in there was a cupboard to our left (containing dressing gowns, a free to use safe, drawers and coat hangers with plenty of space for all our clothes and our empty ...

Heaven, I'm in heaven!
Advantages: Clean, Posh, Wonderful Disadvantages: only that I can't live there :0(
I loved this hotel, so much in fact, we're going back for our first wedding anniversary in four weeks!
The building was fabulous to look at and we even walked a little in the well tended and spacious grounds.
The staff were professional and courteous and nothing was too much trouble, silly things like asking for more milk for our room and half an hour later when we got back to our room it was there by the bucket full!
The Orangerie bar was such ...

In the footsteps of Joyce...apparently
Advantages: Reasonably priced in "standard", quieter location, Disadvantages: Could have been cleaner, possible noise from DART
...through lastminute.com threw up the North Star Hotel, billed as a three star hotel and situated close to the city’s main coach station and opposite Connolly train station. We were able to secure a price of £107 for a standard double room for two nights which was a decent saving on the hotel website's full price of approximately £126 .
I need to mention now that the hotel has several grades of accommodation and we chose the most basic. Next up the ... ...My first impression of the North Star was very favourable although I was secretly on the lookout for tell-tale signs that the hotel was “all fur coat and no knickers”. I had already made up my mind that the hotel must be like that London budget Hotel the “Regent Palace” which has a rather showy reception area but fades as soon as you get onto the staircases and plummets once you get into the rooms. The hotel is typically Irish in appearance, looking ...

Bewleys Hotel Dublin
Advantages: Near To Airport, Price Disadvantages: None?
I stayed at the Bewleys Hotel once before flying out from Dublin Airport, its a great location if you chose to fly from Dublin and live quite far away from it. The double room we stayed in cost around 69 euros for one night, this is reasonable when you look at it from the point of view that travelling to the airport will be much easier the day after and also that your holiday begins a day earlier by staying there. The room was clean and tidy and ... ...double beds in the twin room and a small sitting area, the bathroom was clean and had a shower and a bath in it and had a few little treats like shower gel and a small sewing kit in it which I always like when I am staying in a hotel. There was a decent sized tv in the room that had a good range of channels that catered for all ages including sky tv on it. There is free internet access in your room which is handy for the business men and women and ...
