Trinity Capital
Review of Trinity Capital Hotel, Dublin by
johodgkinson83
Advantages: Quirky, friendly, location.
Disadvantages: next door to fire station
This hotel was absolutely fab!! The decor was quirky, it was in a great location and would definitely stay again.
Food - Breakfast good, full english including black and white pudding. Not a huge choice of cereals or pastries but enough to satisfy.
Service - All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bedrooms - Standard double was of an ok size. Bed was big and comfortable. Very clean, maids came in daily to tidy, change towels and sheets. ... ...other hotels I have stayed in).
Location - In the centre of Dublin close enought to walk to Grafton street and Temple Bar but far away enough to not hear the noise!! There is a fire station next door but you don't really hear much from this. There are a couple of local pubs on the next road to the hotel that are worth a visit. Spar located just 1 min walk from hotel.
Bar/Restaurant - Lovely furniture and terraces to sit in peace and privacy.
Overall ...

An old converted castle with a cleaning problem
Review of Clontarf Castle Hotel, Dublin by
ScottishWestie
Advantages: Location, decor, comforable rooms, good bus service close by
Disadvantages: Badly cleaned rooms & a constant problem
...booked us in at the Clontarf Hotel, an old castle that had been converted to a hotel. It's situated away form the city centre in a rather nice suburb of Dublin close to the waterside. If you haven't got a car with you, you'll need to rely on public transport or taxis. There is a fairly reliable bus service close by & it was keenly priced. The cost was approx £53.00 per night (depending on exchange rate) for a four night stay, one night only can be ... ...an impressive lobby, who ever converted it, did a tasteful & professional job. We were quickly checked in & found our rooms comfortable & quite well equipped. It was a hot August weekend & the room had no air conditioning, but of more concern was our dirty bath. We had the remains of the previous person's 'tide mark' left in the bath!! We reported it to the staff & it was quickly cleaned up.
Food at the hotel bar was served on the weekday afternoon ...

Well worth stay at Jurys Inn!
Review of Jurys Inn Parnell Street, Dublin by
missgiggles22
Advantages: The Location
Disadvantages: Lighting in room, view
...making we finally chose the Jurys Inn, Parnell Street.
The reviews that we read were the best we had seen and there wasn't anything that could give you a major concern. It was also recommended to me by some work friends that had previously stayed there and I was assured that the rooms were nicely decorated and clean.
The cost--> We went at the beginning of August during the week and we paid 122 euros per night, room only which was around £83 (there ... ...definitely not as good as Jurys Inn, Parnell Street.
Ease of getting there--> Getting to the hotel from the airport was very easy, I would suggest the air-link bus, as I believe it's called. It costs 6 euros, we bought our ticket from a machine while queuing as we didn't know if they would accept notes and if they were able to change them as I had read the 'normal' everyday buses don't carry change and that if you need change the driver gives you ...

grafton capital hotel
Review of Grafton Capital Hotel, Dublin by
RONNIEdaMAN
Advantages: can easily walk to nearby bars, restaurants.
Disadvantages: nothing significant
I have recently stayed here and i have to say that it was very enjoyable.
It is quite central and myself and two friends could easily walk to the local bars and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and well designed. I stayed in a room by myself with a double bed. It had the usual appliances ( tv, iron, telephone, hairdryer, kettle) that all worked fine. The bathroom was kept clean and the shower was powerful enough. The staff were friendly and ...

Hotel From Hell - Beware!
Review of Lynams Hotel, Dublin by
kavakava
Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Rude, rude, rude staff, dirty, overpriced, run-down, NO air-conditioning
Very rude and unhelpfull staff - every time I went down to the front desk, they were eating something - pizza, bangers and mash or similar. The cleaning lady started unlocking my door to enter the room while I was in there - without knocking!
My room was very tiny, the TV was horrible, tiny with only 4 channels, the back of the remote was taped with duck tape, and there is NO air-conditioning at the hotel at all.
For a photo of the view I got from ...
