The Jamesons tour is an interesting tour of a mock distillery. Personally, I prefer industrial tours to be more authentic and this one is slightly mocked up. There is, however, a opportunity to sample the product. If you are lucky enough to be volunteered for the tasting lesson, quite a lot of the free product actually. There is a decent shop and a pleasantrestaurant, although the cafe next door was nicer. The 'distillery' is next to a set of tourist-trappy shops which are pleasant enough. We did the tour on the same morning as the Guinness tour and I think the Guinness won by some distance.

Advantages: pubs and bars stay open late and plenty of choice, can walk everwhere. Disadvantages: very cold in winter, not much to do beyond the drinking
