Johnnie Fox
Review of Johnnie Fox´s (Dublin) by arale

Advantages: Great atmoshpere and music
Disadvantages: try to avoid row fish

Johnnie Fox is said to be the highest pub in Ireland even if you can reach it in just half an hour from Dublin city center. It is great pub and if you visit ireland you have to go at least once. The pub is a typical irish pub, everything in wood, with a lot of old cutlery hanging on the wall and warm fireplace! the food is very good but you need ot pay attention if the pub is too crowded. I personally had bad experience with row seafood and a couple ...
...seafood. I would just avoid the row seafood but I woul for sure choose the soup of food. it is sublime! the dessert are very good expecially the one that seems a glass of Guinnes but it is chocolate and cream. very good! the music is fantastic and it is fun for sure to go to Johnny fox! ... Let Yoichi Spoil You Rotten
Review of Ayumi-ya Japanese Restaurant, Dublin by the_mad_cabbie

Advantages: Wonderful food. Even MORE wonderful staff and owner
Disadvantages: Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Well, it's a bit out in the sticks!

...of the staff in the Ayumi-Ya have been with them for donkey’s years, and are incredibly loyal both to their boss and to the restaurant itself. ~ ~ When he’s not fully employed looking after his customers, one of Mr. Hoashi’s favoured pastimes is taking himself off to remote parts of the globe to do charitable work, such as his recent “desert trek” for charity in Africa. This tells us much about the genuine nature of ...
...both his staff and customers. ~ ~ The restaurant at Blackrock is a small haven of tranquillity. Diners can choose either to eat in the normal “European” fashion, at a table with chairs, or to try the more traditional Japanese method of sitting on cushions on the floor, and eating of a low table. I advise you try the Japanese method; it’s MUCH more fun! The food itself is simply delicious, and cooked (or not cooked in the case ... Read review

A day on the Town
Review of Town Bar and Grill, Dublin by Shoka

Advantages: Central Dublin Location, lovely staff, amazing food, feel good place
Disadvantages: You need to dress up a bit

...out that Easter Sunday. Town was one of 2 in Dublin. As the rest of the team seemed happy to go wherever for lunch we booked Town up a few hours before we were due to go. There were 15 of us in the party in total so we thought it was good to get it at such short notice. It was one of the best random finds ever so I asked Ciao to add this restaurant to their list as I think any of you going to Dublin in the near future would enjoy eating at this fab ...
...second thing I noticed about Town was they seem to only employ gorgeous people. The woman who was our front of house was clearly model material, really tall and willowy with great clothes. And all the staff male and female all looked fab. The food As we were seated at our table the waiter immediately came over and gave out menus and wine lists. We were at this time the only people in the restaurant which surprised me, it being Easter Sunday and ... Read review

One of the best!
Review of Acapulco, Dublin by floodzo81

Advantages: great atmosphere, reasonable prices, quick service
Disadvantages: can get crowded

I love Acapulco. Its cheap, cheerful, right in the middle of the city on George's St, the food is great, the service usually excellent and they do great pitchers of margueritas! Acapulco isn't a fancy place, you walk into a busy room, with colourful Mexican-style seating, where the tables are closely packed. But everyone in there looks like they're really enjoying it. Thats what I love about the place. They are extremely busy, but don't try to hurry ...
...say the service is slow - no matter how busy it was when I've gone there, I've never been able to make that complain. Starters start at around EUR5, with mains from about 10 upwards. Theres a decent choice, with both Mexican staples (nachos, burritos, quessidillas) as well as the usual chicken/beef options. As far as desserts go, their deep-fried icecream is amazing. There are a number of beers, to choose from, as well as wines, and cocktails by ... Read review
