Bullying in The George
Advantages: Good music, friendly and interesting guests Disadvantages: Attrocious security staff, bullying regular customers
...in order to protest against the attrocious treating of regular customers in the oldest Irish gay club, in the George.I am a regular customer of that club. I have been frequenting that club on Saturday nights, almost on a regular basis, for almost fife years by now.I always enjoyed that venue. It has a particular flair, a kind of culture associated with the fact that it is the oldest gay club in Ireland..I always felt like at home in this place because ... ...in the same way as I feel about life.I liked to express myself in an artistic fashion by dancing on the stage. I do not want do boast but I am a good dancer and many times I have instigated people to start dancing when the stage was empty. As such I think that I the deserve some sort of respect from the management of that club. However last night a terrible thing has happened. I mistakenly took my drink to the smoking area and a member of security ...

The best chicken wings!
Advantages: sublim food Disadvantages: you need to make a reservation
Elephant and Castle is one of my favourite restourant. It is in temple bar and the food is simply great. the service is ok and generally the staff is very kind. here you can eat the best chicken wings and the best ceasar salad. They bring you the chicken wings in plate with a very taste souce and you could eat them all night long. the ceasar salad is great and the smal portion is actually big and you can fill up your stomach only with that. dessert ...

A Cosy Restaurant In A Big Temple
Advantages: great food, well cooked, nice atmosphere, good prices Disadvantages: not in the UK
I have just gotten back from a short break in Dublin and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was staying at a hotel but had not paid for any meals as I wanted to explore the city and have some meals out and about. So, obviously I wanted to try some Irish food but it didn't appeal at the time. Walking about there are a lot of places to eat in O'Connell Street one of the major Dublin streets but I had originally wanted to go to the Hard Rock Café. After finding ... ...I continued my search.
Temple Bar is the major area in Dublin for eating out and for nightlife with many bars and restaurants. I scanned the many windows looking at menus. There were some nice Italian restaurants but they were charging anything between €12-€15 for a pizza which to me is ridiculous considering having been to Italy I got a homemade pizza for €6. So, I got out my trusty Dorling Kindersley Top 10 guide which I swore by all holiday and ...

Excellent, reasonably priced food
Advantages: the food! Disadvantages: often crowded
Having walked past the restaurant a few times, and seen it packed on each occasion, I assumed two things - 1. that it was pretty expensive, from it's Liffey-side location
2. that it was probably unjustifiably so - given that a lot of places in Temple Bar are just that.
When we walked past one day looking for somewhere to have dinner, and saw that it was quiet, we decided to venture in. The service is excellent, a member of staff rushed over to ... ...Portions were large, the bill was quite reasonable (both for the area, and for the quality of the food). It's open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the only downside I can think of is that it's pot luck whether you can get a table or not, as it also seemed quite busy for breakfast (theres a guesthouse attached to the restaurant). The location is excellent too, with a wide range of pubs situated just around the corner, as well as across the river ...
