Whatever you tastes are in life, Dublin is the place to be. It is also one of the most happening cities in Europe if not the world at the moment. Remember the London docklands in the eighties, the wonderful eating houses that sprang up every where, well this is exactly what has been happening in Dublin over the last few years. A walk down O'Connell street will show how much Ireland has caught up with Britain, there are designer shops, coffee rooms, bars and pubs and the atmoshphere really adda to the experience. A walk down the main street is always exciting, and dont forget to have a look at the bronze statue by the bridge. If you look carefully you can see the bullet holes caused by the 1918 uprising where the british were on one side of the reiver and the Irish were on the other. Should you want to experience genuine Guiness, try the tour around the factory, you even get a free half at the end. If you get a little tired of the hustle and bustle, then trry a quick tour out to the wicklow mountains, they really are spectacular and there are some great waterfalls too.
