Dublin is fantastic, plan and simple. With two weeks in Ireland, Dublin demanded that I stay for at least 5 of them.
Temple Bar is the main area for pubs and clubs. There are lots of them and they are all jumping. But beware get there early and if you are in a big group split up before you try to go in as a lot of the pubs won’t let large groups in together. Another word of warning, if you are under 21 you would be best to go early as well, some pubs ban under 21s as they get busier. If you can actually get up in the morning after drinking copious amounts of the black stuff then hop on one of the many tour buses. They give a nice overview of the city and go to my favourite place in Dublin, The Guiness Hopstore. Inside you will find all the original artwork for the world famous zoo animals used in Guiness advertising. If you want to get out of Dublin, then why not have a flutter at The Curragh racecourse, home of the Irish 1000 and 2000 guineas. You can buy a combined train ticket/course admission from the train station.
There are two things you will need in Dublin; lots of money and a well functioning liver. Both will be well worth it.

Sorry for the FH rating, but there just isn't enough information in this op. I have never been to Ireland and would like to know more about what there is to do in Dublin (other than drink Guinness), what there is to see and where to stay. Niki :)
