WARNING! Please read if you are intending to stay at H10 Playa Meloneras Palace, GrandCanary. We booked a week break to stay at what we thought was a 5 star hotel arriving late on Saturday night we went straight to our room which looked very nice and was well placed in the hotel 5th floor and overlooking the pool. When we woke up the next morning we noticed that we were infested with tiny spider like ants all around the room, we went to the welcome meeting and informed the Holiday rep and Hotel reception they agreed to fumigate the room whilst we were out, we found a load of these dead spider/ants when we returned so we thought this would be the last of the matter. Next day it got worse they were every where in our clothes in the safe everything we moved or touched these tiny little creatures were everywhere, again we reported it to ...

Maspalomas is on the south east coast of Gran Canaria and around 20 minutes drive from Puerto Rico which is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Maspalomas. It is this popular mainly because of the islands dynamic and contrasting landscapes and beach. When we where there was a beautiful beach that stretched around 6km, its was nice to have a nice relaxing walk along the beach at dawn and the sand is just right, however there are magnificent sand dunes which stretch most of the way which look absolutely astonishing when night falls and the sunset is resting at the seas edge. Truly spectacular.
However famous for its beach, Maspalomas has a lot more to offer than just a magnificent beach, there is the rest of the island to explore in all its tropical glory. I say Tropical for the fact that there are ...

In October 2008, I returned to Fuerteventura with my mum (I started a review about my previous trip a while ago but have yet to finish it - hopefully it should be up at some point in the fut.ure!) We visited there in October 2006 and, after Lanzarote, it had been my favourite Canary Island, so off we headed. We'd decided from the outset that Corralejo would be the resort we would return to, so my mum selected the Oasis Dunas for us to stay at. I had no complaints about this as the pictures of it looked very appealing!
LOCATION
The complex was at the opposite end of Corralejo than where we had stayed previously. The last time we were there, we were basically right next to the harbour, which was handy for my mum to watch the ferries go in and out (she likes that).
