... MARINA CARAVAN PARK GLASSON DOCK Marina Caravan Park is owned by South Lakeland Caravans. It is situated on the banks of the Lancaster Canal to the rear and overlooking the River Lune at the front and is near to the little village of Glasson Dock on the outskirts of the lovely city of Lancaster. The park is for static caravans only and has no touring site. It has 135 holiday homes that are all privately owned and are not available for subletting. The site is open from 1st March until 2nd January and is the perfect park for anyone interested in owning a holiday home. If you haven't recently been inside a static caravan (or holiday home as they are now known) you can't imagine just how comfortable and practical they are. ...I have staying the Dart Marina three times now and I feel I need to share my experience with you. Lets put it simply the start with, the hotel is brilliant. There is no other word to describe it. It is right on the seafront and within a pleasurable walking range to Dartmouth. It has outstanding views across the sea with regular yaughts coming into the marina. The team of staff are friendly, helpful and see to your every need. The chef, who I have met, is a brilliant cook and has produced several different and amazing dishes from local produce each time I have been there. The rooms are immaculate and stylish with TV, radio, en-suite and several complimentary items. The facilities, which include a spa, swimming pool and gym, are state of the art and enjoyable to use. ...If you do love the city of Rome and you wish you go back,the best place to make this wish is at the Fonana di Trevi-remember the song " Three coins in a fountain". Legends says that by throwing a coin over your left shoulder into the fountain guarantees a return to this beautiful city. Throwing three coins mean you will get love,luck and be able to return to Rome!!. I threw three down the fountain the last time I was there - really hope this comes true. The Hollywood movies "Three coins in a fountain" and "Roman holiday" were filmed here-that's why this place is so well-known. The fountain is huge with places to sit aroud it. However, it's difficult to squeeze in as it's always packed with people, a very busy place indeed.... Read review
