Adare is a picture postcard village 6 or 7 miles South of Limerick, picturesque thatched cottages mostly now antique shops and high quality restaurant. The Dunraven Arms is right in the heart of the village. A rambling 2 storey hotel with and 'olde worlde' pub and Egon Ronay approved restaurant at its centre. Facilities are good with a superbly kitted out health centre and some high quality shops within the hotel. The hotel caters for small business conferences and events with a very reasonable day delegate rate. Accommodation is excellent, our room had a 4 poster bed and acres of space (nice old/substantial furniture). The shower was stunning (almost literally) and the bathroom was bigger than some hotel rooms I've stayed in. In the morning a huge Irish breakfast set us up for the day.

The hotel is close to the golf course. I'm not a golfer but I do know that many golfers sampling the course stay at the Dunraven. I was only in Limerick for the day on business and stayed at the Dunraven on a friend's recommendation. I would like to pass that recommendation on. If you find yourself in Co Limerick, seek out the Dunraven Arms.
