Bournemouth has now become my boyfriend's second home due to a recent promotion and the Durley Hall is where he takes additional residence.
As his girlie I do get to accompany him on the odd trip to Bournemouth when my job permits so as he is there as we speak I decided to write review on the hotel itself.
***Location***
Durley Hall is located on Durley Chine Road on the West Cliff in Bournemouth.
The hotel is in a great location and well within walking distance to many of the amenities. Each time that I stay down there I end up walking from the hotel to the town centre, it takes about 10 minutes and is a pretty pleasant walk.
The beach is also just 10 minutes at the bottom of the hill and very close to a pub to rehydrate after your short brisk walk.

The hotel was offering some special offers last month so me and my boyfriend decided to stay there for the weekend when visiting London. It has an ideal location. We went down by train and it's only about 15 minutes walk from Euston station, or a few bus stops away. We arrived early so we left our luggage and was told to get back after 2. The lobby is not huge but nicely decorated. There is an Egyptian sculpture next to the lift, kind of like a replica of those you see in museum, quite special.
Again I have to praise its location. It didnot take us long before we reached New Oxford street by foot. Bear in mind it was January when the sale was still going on-I could start my shopping straightaway. We got back after lunch and the room was ready. It's a double room with a king size bed. The room is quite spacious with a plasma TV ...
Advantages: Great facilities and location Disadvantages: Some rooms on the small side
Getting there
Our family stayed at the Queen?s HotelBournemouth for 2 nights back in May 2007. The drive down from North London is 112 miles and took around 3 Hours 20 Minutes which included a 30 minute stop over. The Hotel is located on Meyrick Road, just a minutes walk from the sea front and a 15 minute walk to the Pier.
There is room for about 15 cars in the car park at the front of the Hotel, with room for a further 20 cars at the rear. This is free to use for guests and you give your car registration details when you check in. The hotel has 109 rooms and deluxe suites situated over 4 floors. There is a lift near the reception to all floors except lower ground which has just 6-8 steps, so the Hotel is ideal for the elderly.
