Advantages: Cheap premiums, good for younger drivers, UK call centre Disadvantages: Awful customer care!
My husband has a less than pristene driving career, 2 crashes exactly a year apart ruined any hope he had of gaining a half decent insurance premium last year. Luckil he has no driving convictions then when it came to renewal time in April 2005.
After using one of the broker sites, husband came across Admiral's premium, considerably less than the nearest competitor of Budget Insurance. Admiral were quoting a figure of £430 per year for a fully comprehensive policy, covering husband and me in a Vauxhall Corsa Club ( 3dr1.0 12v, 51 Plate) for 10 months on one of their no claims bonus excelarator policies. Budget were quoting us £514, so Admiral were miles ahead in terms of price. Im currently 19 F and i have been driving since i was 17 in October 2005 i passed my test in June 2006 and touch wood i have no claims to date i am currently driving a 1.4 auto vauxhall corsa 3dr - ad my insurance off admiral is >£800 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS FULLY COMP AS WELL. we have our 3 cars on a family policy i got quoted upto £1600 just for myself and this price just about covers all three cars. so admiral is basically 1/2 of some of the quotes i had just for me. i cant fault it yet. the other cars on the policy are a Range Rover Sport 06 plate & a civic 55 plate - both are cheaply priced and the policy looks like a good deal so getting a quote after searching around to try and get the price even lower would be a good idea. ...
