EPCOT (Disney Theme Park)

You can get to EPCOT by the Disneyworld Free bus's, Car or monorail. The Monorail also travels between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT good for jumping from pack to park.

EPCOT is open all year including Christmas Day. Opening times change from day to day so the best thing to do is check out the Disneyworld website which will give you times. Or your hotel should help you with this. We did find that Future world opened earlier than the world showcase but this area stayed open later.

This area is the first you come to when you go into EPCOT, the dancing fountains are a centre piece here as well as the Giant golf ball.

Ellen's Energy Adventure - 30 minutes long, we by passed this so many times and just came across this one day and tried it out and was surprised that we enjoyed it. The story is all told by Ellen who teaches you about where energy comes from.

The Living Seas - This is an Aquarium, What a brilliant area, we spent ages here. There is more than 2,000 sea creatures here including fish, manatees, dolphins and Sharks. Many hands on things for the children to do as well as learning about the ocean.

Food Rocks A show about food and Nutrition, this was quite boring i am afraid. My children wasn't impressed.

Living with the Land This is a boat trip with a tour guide. You explore the greenhouses at EPCOT which include giant vegetables. The veg etc from here is served to guests in EPCOTS resturants. This was very interesting, my children were surprised to see a greenhouse in EPCOT. This is a nice calm ride, good for tired feet.

Ice Station Cool - This is not a ride but a type of shop. Here you can sample sodas from around the world for free but be warned one is really horrible but which one :)

We did not eat much in this area so can't comment of the restaurants too much but the Hot dog cart went down well with my children as they were just huge.

This area is such a great experience, learn about all different cultures around the world. Each country surrounds a big lake which is called the world showcase lagoon. Boats travel across this, so why not take a trip or two. In each country you will find restaurants and shops all relating to the country your in. We only Ate in the American diner food was really nice here, really liked the steak burgers.

Mexico
The Area has a Pyramid shaped building and hosts a ride called El Rio del Tiempo and takes you through the Mexican life and history. Here you can experience Mexiacn life, see really colourful displays and shop in the Mexican market.

China
Wonders of China The Temple of Heaven is the landmark here. You will find a circle vision 360 movie here, sorry i did not visit this. We saw some chinese acrobats performing here.

Italy
Adults come and taste the wine and maybe buy some too. Lots of Italian landscaped features here.

Japan -
The first thing you will see here is the Giant temple called Pagoda. Here we saw some Japanese Drummers performing, this was just excellent and worth watching. Japan also has a giant department store which sells everything Japanese. I spent alot here on hello kitty items and Japanese sweets.

France
Impressions de France A small version of the Eiffel Tower is here with plenty of french shops. You can see a movie here called Impressions de France. Beware the perfume shop is very expensive.

Canada / O Canada!
Here you will see rocky mountains, and a Totem Pole. There is a movie here called O Canada, you stand in this movie which the children did not like and on a hot day its very uncomfortable.

Winnie pooh and Tigger - In the Uk in the english toy shop at the far back

You will also see characters on a bus which travels about and stops at certain areas but this always gets very crowded.

Your bags are searched on the way into the park for sercurity reasons, make sure you have your bag ready for them. They was also cheack video camera bags as well.
