Advantages: Rewards fairly generous and not over-restrictive Disadvantages: TWA has only one departure per day from UK
...Although I fly anywhere only occasionally today, for many years I flew very frequently. When Frequent Flyer programmes were introduced I signed up to several. TWA's FFB (re-named Aviators a few years ago) offering was most attractive, especially during "Fare Wars" when they sometimes awarded double and triple miles for economy bookings. These promos encouraged me to use TWA.
The airline is best described as "plain vanilla", at least in economy. Staff are matter of fact rather than attentive, on transatlantic flights the attendants are mainly female and of mature years. This means that they know what they're doing and can cope readily with most eventualities. Don't expect dolly birds, haute cuisine or fancy gee-gaws. Puctuality is pretty good and the only flight out of GB is the non-stop to St Louis, with connections to everywhere...

Advantages: Lots of planes, great for the aviation enthusiast Disadvantages: Can get a bit competitive?!?!
...The Manchester Airport Aviation Viewing Park is ideal for Plane enthusiasts of all kinds, in my case as I work in Travel specifically the Aviation field my interest is seeing the various Airlines operated from Manchester and for my partner as he builds Aircraft he is interested in the actual aircraft taking of from Manchester so overall it is ideal for all people that enjoy a trip to the Airport.
I must warn you though that if you do decide to comment on the plane or airline you may be launched upon by the Plane spotters that regularly make the trip out to the aviation field armed with walkie talkies and binoculars not to mention the wide lens paparazzi cameras that can be seen on every other person.
Directions:-
The Aviation Park is located on the A538 between Junction 6 of the M56 motorway, I was coming from Chester so I took...

Advantages: Unusual day out Disadvantages: Limited availability
...Manchester Aviation Viewing Park
Now before this review starts I would like to point out that I am not a plane spotter and no very little about planes although I do enjoy flying and living about 30minutes away from Manchester Airport and never having been to the viewing park I thought that it would be a nice afternoon out with the big advantage of Manchester having (at that that time) the only Concorde on display in the UK (if not the world!)
What's there?
There are two main parts to the Aviation Park, which are the Aviation Park, which is open every day (with the exception of Christmas etc.). The aviation park is split into three main areas. There is a large car park where you can basically park your car and explore on foot. There is a smaller car park at the front with many less spaces. Here you can park...

I'm one of those people who does enjoy flight simulators, but I'm not enough of an enthusiast to want to spend hundreds of pounds on equipment. For some time I had been flying with a quite old joystick which had 2 buttons and a small throttle, and was... more
Truly well named. This was the last concert for Nightwish with their original singer, Tarja Turunen. And boy, does it show!
A stunning concert in Helsinki, its the very best of the (then) new and old tracks, with their trademark musicianship, playing of more
