Easter Parade

Advantages: Less people in bad weather, GO to the parade, even in rain
Disadvantages: CROWDS, and hardly any view if you arrive after NINE AM

...Here's a review of an attempt to see the Thanksgiving day parade in New York City, (year 2006) . Okay, so here's advice on how to get a better view of the parade for NEXT YEAR: 1. Arrive MORE THAN EARLY. We were told that some of the high school bands arrived there at around three or four AM that morning. And, we asked them about how many people were there at that time. They said there were hundreds and hundreds of people. So, arrive at three AM if possible or four am if you want the BEST look at the parade. 2. Bring your own snacks and drinks because once you are in your SPACE at the parade, you won't get to leave there until the parade is over. ...The Love Parade in Leeds what an event. The music was great, the drink was flowing what more could you want? Cheap accomodation? No problem. When the music's stopped and your out of energy where better to rest your sleepy head than a cardboard box in a field. First you have to go to one of those stalls which ripped you off charging £3.00 for a burger and wait for them to throw a box or two out the back. Then nick it, they won't mind it's less rubbish for them. You then find a bit of shelter and a nice tree to prop yourself up against. The last thing you have to do is hide your money. Happy camping. It is a day tour which is marketed towards backpackers and is priced accordingly at $99. All the stops and entry fee's into places was included in this price. The only thing you have to pay extra for is if you wanted to upgrade your penguin experience. 1 Australian Dollar is equal to roughly 0.48 United Kingdom Pounds. **TOUR** This tour starts at 12.15pm and we got back to our hostel at 12 at night (this will all depend on traffic and where you are staying).
