Unfortunately we booked a car through easyCar for our holiday in Valencia this summer. When we arrived at the airport at 1.30 am their contractor (Sol Mer) told us they had no record of the booking and that they had no cars available. My wife, two infant children and myself would have been stuck in the airport if a friend hadn't driven for an hour from Javea to pick us up. The next few days of our holiday were spent trying to find a car to hire in the most popular month of the year causing stress and great inconvenience. When we returned home it took two letters before we got our money back and recent correspondence requesting refunds for expenses incurred and compensation have been ignored. They took our money before booking a car for us - not a way to do business. Hideously expensive call rate and shameful customer service.
