My friends and I recently went to Barcelona for a short Easter break.
Anyway, we were quite late in booking our air tickets because we were so indecisive about which airline to take. However, after surfing every single budget airline website on the net, I can tell you quite frankly that Easyjet gives the cheapest prices for a wide range of dates.

Of course cheapflights.com gives a wide range of prices as well but somehow, after going through all the hassle of contacting those travel companies the prices always end up being either the same or slighter higher than that offered by Easyjet. So why bother?

Anyway, the thing with Easyjet is that it's a fuss-free process of buying tickets. Giving your credit card number over the net is relatively safe, and if you're still apprehensive about it you can always call their customer serviceline, where they have extremely helpful agents. If you want to make a group booking, (which is what we did) you can but make sure you get everyone's details first ( or their credit card numbers if you want to pay separately!)and call the customer serviceline. Just make sure you don't lose your reference numbers, that's all.

One thing that you should be careful about are the flight times. The cheapest prices are the night flights, where you reach your destination at 1 or 2 a.m. in the morning! In our case, we reached Barcelona at 12.00a.m and had to spend an agonising six to seven hours at the airport, waiting for the first bus service. It's all very well to think that you'll be able to withstand those "few hours", but believe me, it's not worth it when you're dreadfully tired and have no place to rest or sleep. (They only had hard wooden benches at the airport). It was the same when we got back to Luton, but at least there were some chairs to sit on and rest, so it wasn't too bad.

So for a no-frills, budget airline, Easyjet is not too bad.
