***Background*** Los Angeles was unfortunately our last stop on our honeymoon tour of the States and we decided that we would need to stay for three nights to take full advantage of seeing Universal Studios and to have a look around the city. My husband is a big film fan and when we were looking at where to stay in LA we wanted somewhere near to the Studios, as we had pre-booked our tickets in conjunction with our earlier visit to Sea World in San Diego. Want a bit of Hollywood on a Budget??

Advantages: Great cheap friendly helpful
Disadvantages: can be noisy in the evening

Boulevard, Hollywood, CA 90028 Also if you are staying for more than two nights at the hostel you can get your bus shuttle from the airport refunded so make sure you keep your receipt. The reception is run 24 hours a day which is great for security and for convenience, the staff at the hostel are very welcoming and full of local information about sightseeing and tours. Our room was a 6 bed female only with en suite bathroom, bunk beds were provided and sheets are also included in the price, I was very impressed that full length lockers were free of charge in our rooms big enough to fir your whole backpack in, the only thing you have to provide is a lock, if you don't have then these are available for purchase at the reception for only $4. The room was clean and tidy and the bathroom was one of the cleanest I have experienced so far ...

Holiday Inn A55 Chester West, Northop

Advantages: Excellent connection to Chester and North Wales, reasonably priced, very family friendly
Disadvantages: Only accessible on the westbound A55, slightly dated decor

Summary This is a well priced and family friendly hotel, ideally located for easy access to North Wales, and an ideal stop off for any holiday in Wales. I stayed at this hotel for one night in October 2009. The Hotel The hotel is just off the A55 about halfway between Chester and Llandudno. The hotel is only accessible from the A55 westbound, and you have to travel to the next junction to travel back to England, which is slightly inconvenient unless you are travelling on further into Wales. The hotel is spread over three floors. There is a small reception area as you enter the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant to the right of the reception desk. The staff who assisted me on check in were a little colder than the normal Holiday Inn staff, but were not rude. The hotel does not have a pool, but it does offer a gym ...
