Premier Lodge, Preston North

Advantages: Large Bed and Cheap
Disadvantages: No take away facilities

After searching for a place to stay near to Blackpool, at a reasonable price, I came across this Lodge. At £45.95 per night for the room ( can be higher) I thought great. Premier Lodge has recently joined forces with Travel Inn, and is now known as Premier Travel Inn. They have a saying 'Spend a Night, Not a Fortune'. I booked via the internet, unfortunately the date clicked back tot he day I was working on as i had scrolled down using my mouse roller. I was off to work and hadn't had a chance to check my email confirmation. Thankfully, the girls realised my mistake and rang me the next day and asked which day it was for really - I had put down that I would arrive by late afternoon, and considering that I would have to travel 5 hours to get there it was easy to see it as a mistake - thanks to the girls I was not charged an extra ...

Review of Premier Travel Inn Preston - North, Preston

Anaheim

Advantages: Close proximity to Disneyland
Disadvantages: Because of this much further away from everything else

My family chose to stay in Anaheim as part of our trip to California as they believed that this was the best place to stay for families. And having stayed there that is exactly who I would recommend visit here. Anaheim is about 2 hours drive away From the main city of Los Angeles. This journey time would be much less if the traffic wasn't as bad! Its worse than the M25! MOst of the hotels in this area are based along main streets. Istayed at the Holiday Inn Suites, which was best for us at it was a one bedroom apartment (we are a fimly of four, 3 women and my dad so he doesn't like to share with me and my sister). The road our hotel was on was the main street, and it had a waterpark and the Knotts Landing theme parks just down the road, a short walk away. The Disneyland resorts are about 20 minutes away, and our hotel offered free ...

Anaheim my personal opinion

Advantages: Close to disney,tourist friendly
Disadvantages: well spaced out,Car definately required

I have travelled to Los Angeles many times on business and quite a few with my family for a holiday. We have always headed for A Motel/Hotel in the Anaheim Area {30 miles south of LA} After a long flight from the UK I would recommend an overnight stop near Los Angeles airport for the first night [hotels from about 30 pound per room per night} this review is based on a family holiday 2 adults 2 children 8,15 so you will not find any real nighlife info here. Travelling down to Anaheim is a doddle, finding your accomodation unless it is on the same road {Harbor Boulevard} as Disneyland can be frustrating, get your hands on a good Anaheim Guide. I will recommend the Candycane Inn next door to Disneyland if you want to be close to the action, excellent Motel, large rooms, good size pool and spa, plus a free comprehensive breakfast Not bad ...
