Trading Places

Advantages: great fun for all the family
Disadvantages: none

Director: John Landis. Producers: George Folsey Jr, Aaron Russo, Irwin Russon and Sam Williams. Writers: Timothy Harris and Herchel Weingrod Stars: Dan Aykroyd, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ralph Bellamy, Denholm Elliott and Don Ameche. Released in 1983 this comedy, starring the excellent Eddie Murphy, relies on the greed of humanity to bring onto the big screen a somewhat hilarious movie. **BRIEF PLOT** When Mortimer Duke, (played by Don Ameche) and his brother Randolph, (played by Ralph Bellamy) decide to place a rather strange wager to quench their boredom they don't care about the consequences to the victims involved. Best-ival Place!

Advantages: Great shops, all indoors, cinema and restaurants too, cheap car park, easy to get to
Disadvantages: None

I live in a small town, and while we do have a good town centre with a decent range of shops, occasionally I like to go somewhere a bit different for shopping and a change of scenery. Often, our choice is nearby town Basingstoke and the indoor shopping centre called Festival Place. It's a place I do like to go, especially at this time of year with all those Christmas decorations that give that festive feeling, and somewhere I'd recommend if you get the chance to visit! Although Festival Place is primarily a big shopping mall, the area also boasts a cinema, several restaurants, bars and cafes, a large multi-storey car park and access to Basingstoke town centre as well. The centre is easily accesible by car, train and bus, and all travel information can be found on the Festival Place website. We always travel by car as its only around ...

Hospitality Leadership - American Style

Advantages: It's a good hotel
Disadvantages: But not as good, or as unusual, as it likes to think

bringing a high degree of intelligence and enthusiasm to the role. Since my wife and I had reason to visit Cornell University, it all sounded rather promising as well as convenient, and we happily booked despite the Statler being a shade more expensive than several other options in the vicinity. * Arrival * Arrival at the Statler did not meet my expectations, let alone exceed them. The hotel is located right in the middle of the Cornell campus, so you'd think it would be easy to find, but in fact the university is not well sign-posted within its home town of Ithaca, NY, and the hotel not well sign-posted within the campus. When you eventually locate it, the Statler proves to be a modern building clad in pinkish-grey stone, unobjectionable but essentially nondescript. Pulling up on the forecourt outside the front doors, you ...
