...another successful shopping trip to TK Maxx, I figured I'd write a review on the store - after all, it is my favourite! TK Maxx is a bit of an 'Aladdin's cave' really - you never know what you may find hidden amongst the vast amount of products within the store. Envisage 'department store meets jumble sale' & you might be getting the idea... You see, TK Maxx stocks everything from ladieswear, meanswear, childrenswear, accessories, & footwear, to ... ...or a shelf, & bingo!...the TK Maxx appeal has been achieved. It's one of those stores where you really have to get in amongst the stock, have a good rummage & you may well just come up with a gem. The downside is that you'll probably find something you absolutely love, but due to the low stock levels of each item they won't have it in your size, or the colour you want. (And it's no good asking if they have any others in stock....they may or may not, ...

HISTORY OF THE UGC AREA
The UGC cinema in Edinburgh is somewhere I frequently go. A couple of years ago in the Gorgie/Viewforth area there was nothing really, not a part of town I ever visited apart from when passing to go into the city centre Then, I hear about Fountainpark being built. This is basically an entertainment complex with much to do, the businesses have changed a little e.g. McDonald's is no longer there but ... ...and if you have the UGC card they give you offers as well. Also once I went with my friend and she didn't have the right money but the woman working there just let her in for cheaper anyway which I thought was very kind as this never happens anywhere I normally go. Also they all seem to enjoy working here.
UGC CARD
This is always advertised just after the trailers. Basically when I first saw this I noticed the minimum subscription of ...

Our trip to Edinburgh's dark side!
My partner and I decided to go on a trip (yeah again. We are never in!) We decided on Edinburgh for the day. It is only 100 miles from where we live (best not walk then.) Edinburgh is easy to drive to but we decided to let the train take the strain.. (Good saying or what?)
We booked our tickets online and they were the reader offer ones where you save tickets up in our local newspaper and therefore it is greatly ... ...were as much as 200quid however ours came to a staggering £20.. And that wasn't each either so in this instance it was a lot cheaper to go this way than to put petrol into the car (mine or his, we never can decide anyway?)
Off we go, I would tell you about going into Asda to buy 18 evening chronicles but you would think me mad.
Edinburgh as I'm sure everyone knows has a castle and that was our first port of call and was very good as well as interesting ...
Advantages: Fun day out for all the family Disadvantages: Can be depressing to see the animals cooped up, steep hill
...my local zoo, which is Edinburgh Zoo, at my daughter's request. She has been here before, firstly with school about four years ago, and secondly with just her dad a few months before he died. The last time I was at the zoo was when I was younger than my daughter is now, on a school trip, which is pathetic really considering I live so near the place. I have to admit however that I am not a huge fan of zoos. I have been to many over the years and while ... ...I suppose. Location Edinburgh Zoo is situated in Corstorphine, in the west of the city. It's on the main A8 road and is well signposted. Buses run past here fairly frequently too including Citylink coaches from Glasgow and Stirling, and Lothian Buses routes 12, 26, 31 and X48. The 26 has a particularly good frequency from the city centre. Parking is also available but costs £3.50. The car park is located on a hill and you may find yourself waiting ...

...to a shopping mall called Ocean Terminal which I must say looked stunning from the outside, especially as it was all decorated ready for Christmas.
We went by car and parked in the large multi storey car park next to the mall and the parking here was free, which was a nice surprise. It is also possible to get to the Ocean Terminal by bus from Edinburgh City Centre using Lothian Bus number 1, 11, 22, 34 or 35.
Ocean Terminal forms part of the redevelopment ... ...screen Vue Cinema.
The Ocean Terminal also has a website at www.oceanterminal.com/home which gives all the details of what is there and also details of what's on at the centre. They have various events such as Farmer's Markets, Mall Walking (a fitness event based on walking round the mall) and special store events.
We began by working our way up the escalators to the third (top) floor in order to take our tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia. The ...
