Discounted to the Maxx
Review of TK MAXX (Department Store) by bilbob20

Advantages: Great quality brand names at great discounted prices
Disadvantages: Can be a bit like a jumble sale

...city must have their own TK Maxx? A leading dealer in discount designer wear, TK Maxx plays out as jumble sale meets department store. There are ladies wear, mens wear, childrens wear, foot wear, bag wear, kids play, and housewares. They offer genuine designer and high street brands at genuine discounted prices. I recently bought a pair of pierre cardin jeans with an rrp of £59.99 for £14. And there was no damage or any other reason for getting them ...
...The one complaint about TK Maxx is that you struggle to find things. Although it is divided into menswear, womenswear etc, and also into types of clothes (ie t-shirts, shirts, trousers, jeans etc) and even gets it right in regards to seperating sizes, you would still struggle if you were looking for a specific brand or make. There is no guarantee that you'll find exactly what you're looking for. Its more a store to browse in than to go in to for ... Read review

Diamond review   A Comfortable Cinematic Experience
Review of UGC Cinema by ms19

Advantages: the UGC card, comfy, good prices
Disadvantages: -

HISTORY OF THE UGC AREA The UGC cinema in Edinburgh is somewhere I frequently go. A couple of years ago in the Gorgie/Viewforth area there was nothing really, not a part of town I ever visited apart from when passing to go into the city centre Then, I hear about Fountainpark being built. This is basically an entertainment complex with much to do, the businesses have changed a little e.g. McDonald's is no longer there but ...
...and if you have the UGC card they give you offers as well. Also once I went with my friend and she didn't have the right money but the woman working there just let her in for cheaper anyway which I thought was very kind as this never happens anywhere I normally go. Also they all seem to enjoy working here. UGC CARD This is always advertised just after the trailers. Basically when I first saw this I noticed the minimum subscription of ... Read review

Edinburgh one of the many things to do
Review of Edinburgh Zoo, Edinburgh by gemrocks1

Advantages: Great variety of animals
Disadvantages: On a steep hill

If visiting Edinburgh i would recommend you visiting Edinburgh Zoo. Its a great day out for the family. There is over 1000 animals there and is growing continually. Recently they have added a great kangaroo enclosure. Staff are really friendly and informative about the animals and animals are well taken care of HISTORY Edinburgh Zoo was founded in 1909 by lawyer Thomas Gillespie buying 85 acres of land and was opened to the public in 1913. It ...
...put you off as there are hilltop safari rides taking you all over the zoo and giving you a commentary of the zoo. This zoo is the largest in Scotland and specialises in its conservation and educational programmes. A MUST If you like penguins you will love this zoo as it has a great variety and daily has a penguin walk where the penguins come right up to your feet its a great experience When you go make sure you wear reasonable shoes if you decide ... Warner soon to be Vue
Review of Warner Village Cinema (Edinburgh) by littlem

Advantages: 2min walk for me!, good range of bars & eateries, comfy seats
Disadvantages: expensive prices, long queues, dubious clientelle

...an that, used to say Warner village". Ah right, I mumbled, hurrying to join my companion. A bit of background The Warner Village cinema in Edinburgh is housed in the Omni complex - a vast glass fronted centre opened a couple of years ago to block out the citizens view of Calton Hill. Calton hill is of course beautiful with a half finished model of the Parathion (also known as Edinburgh's disgrace) on the top. Instead, from ground level, we see ...
...- Holmes Place and the Warner Village cinema. In a nutshell it’s an American theme mall writ small in the heart of Edinburgh. The Warner Village Cinema The cinema has 12 screens - three Gold Class and 2100 seats. I've never tried the Gold Glass showings as my boyfriend is of the saving money type (anyone single want to take me?). These showings are higher priced (around £7) and have the luxury of drinks etc brought to your seat at the touch of ... Read review
