Best kebabs in town!
Advantages: Good value for money Disadvantages: Cash only, cards not accepted for delivery
I really like this place, it used to be a restuarant but now it's only delivery...so glad. The food is really yummy, last night my boyfriend had the Signore Wallace, melted stilton on haggis rolled in beef strips!!! I went for the more girly garden of eden (have to think about the calories) but only so I had room left for the grilled strawberries in Nuttella suace...no other Kebabs quite this good or this style...not a fan of the dodgy donnar so ... ...on the menu kebaba wise, burgers too...had the potatoto wedges tomato and mozzarella salad for sides nice and fresh and the wedges had a really nice seasoning on them. Will be ordering with these guys again espcially now it's winter and the weather is too rubbish to venture out in. ...

Unwanted
Advantages: there is cheap options, seated easily, quick (if you want that), good handryers, music. Disadvantages: staff gave the the bare minimum, food didnt look or taste nice, too quick, felt unwanted
From the outside Pallucci's looked very nice and authentic. I'd heard nothing about the place and went in with an open mind. My girlfriend and I were seated at a table and offered drinks etc... So far so good. There was nice music being played in the background and we were seated easily with no booking. The man serving us however did not seem to be very interested in us. He served us but his attitude was not hugely welcoming. The other person we ... ...seemed to have an attitude as well. The food we ordered came incredibly quickly and although there were not many people in the restaurant it seemed as though they wanted rid of u as quick as possible. The food looked rushed and did not taste very spectacular. Both my girlfriend and I were unimpressed. The price of what we ordered was cheap and tasted cheap. There were much more expensive things on the menu and from looking at other tables it did ...

khushis of Edinburgh
Advantages: great food, nice atmosphere Disadvantages: The main restaurant is shut right now
Khushis claims to be one of the oldest existing Indian restaurants in Scotland, having opened their first restaurant in Edinburgh in 1947, and despite changes in premises has been going strong ever since. They are a Punjabi restaurant and all food is halal and mostly in the Punjabi tradition although there are some dishes from other parts of India. No alcohol is served in the restuarant but bringing along your own beer or wine is both accepted and ... ...preference. I would say that Khushis comes near the top. Most commonly I would order a Saag Aloo, a Dal or Aloo Mattar all of which were available the last time I visited. All of them are very good, spicy but not mouth-burning hot (although they will alter this to personal taste) and used fresh ingredients. I detest eating spicy food where it seems like they have thrown in tonnes of chilli in order to cover up the fact that the food is badly made ...

A Taste Of Japan
Advantages: Tasty food Disadvantages: Not knowing Japanese ettiquete
...with lots of pictures of Koi fish over the walls and windows, huge mirrors and nice leather chairs giving it a sophisticated feel but it would not jump out at me as being Japanese. We chose to eat from the special lunchtime menus which give you three courses for between £6.50 and £9.50 between 12 and 2pm Monday to Saturday. My daughter chose set meal A which was the sushi meal and I chose set meal B and had beef with rice for my main course. Our ... ...£37.50 per head for the Koi deluxe platter so those watching the pennies may want to go for lunch. The restaurant is licensed with a wide range of wines, beers, saki and Japanese whisky on offer. The restaurant also boasts a Teppanyaki counter where you can watch the chef prepare dishes and I would like to go back in the evening to experience this. We enjoyed our first experience visiting a Japanese restaurant, the food was good, the service attentive ...

Marymoose rides a Plumed Horse!
Advantages: Food was absolutely fantastic Disadvantages: Service not absolutely perfect, and toilets nothing to shout about
...that it would be the Plumed Horse that we would visit – based mainly upon cost I have to admit (some places you can pay £80 a head before the drinks)!
Booking
The website can be found here - www.plumedhorse.co.uk
Although it’s easy to navigate, as far as websites go it is pretty slow which is annoying. Anyway, I booked us a table for two for 8pm on the Saturday night which was a simple process. If you’re booking a table for 4 or more people ... ... Info about the Plumed Horse
The chef at the Plumed Horse is a man called Tony Borthwick. More about him can be found on the website, along with a bit of history of the restaurant. Basically, the restaurant opened in 1998 in Castle Douglas, where it earned its Michelin Star in 2000. However, it moved to Leith, Edinburgh in December 2006, where despite a few teething problems it managed to regain its Michelin star.
