This Hotel is right around the corner from Times Square so is ideal for a Show fanatic and anyone who loves the buzz of a big City,
1) The outside is nothing to look at,but inside wow!! fantastic Arc deco furniture, mirrors, paintings, amazing bright colours ,the reception is staffed by around 5 friendly staff-so no problem checking in. 2) Has a small shop in foyer so you can get all those little things like, post cards, stamps, tacky souviners, papers, juice etc, staff are a good laugh, 3)There are two computers for Internet access, around 2 dollars for Twenty minutes, you just get an access code from receptionists and pay or add to bill. 4) Foyer also has a bank of 6 phones in a quiet wee area,so you can have privacy when calling home. 5)There is also an concierge will help with trips, taxis, theatre tickets, shuttles back to airport-was open from around 8am-8pm when we were there in October last year, very helpful. 6) Up to the room now, there are 4 lifts so need to wait long,no porter for bags but thats ok,I sometimes hate that anyway,It Only encourages laziness lol, 7)The bedroom was Basic but a really good size for New York as sometimes rooms are a lot smaller here,I dont really know why that is.We had a twin room,2 Large double beds, really comfy,a work desk, walk in wardrobe, not enough hangers, never enough of those,TV,a safe, good sized bathroom with shower, good basic room. 8)Only little quibble was the view, straight on to tall buildings opposite and perhaps some night noise, street cleaners during the night, but thats whayt you would expect in a big City. 9)just a wee note about the seating area in the foyer,it is huge, has fantastic colour's piano, loads of seats, and the walls are covered in mirrors,it is increadble, what art deco is all about,I spend an hour or so reading a paper there, worth a look,I have a photo of it but dont know how to put in on this review, anyone help?
--------------- So to summarise, great budget hotel in walking distance to Times Square, most theatres,Macys,Central park, good friendly helpful staff ,Just a good budget hotel if You wanna be amongst the buzz
