Another day in taba heights
Advantages: Temperature, Swimming pool, gorgeous beach, cheap Disadvantages: Food, constant badgering, flight and airline
...flew from Manchester direct to Taba International which is about 30-45mins away from the resort. The flight on the way out was at 1.55pm on a Monday, which is the only day and time you can fly out there. From Manchester there is only one tour operator who provide holidays to this particular part of Egypt called \'Peltours\', and the airline is \'Astreus\', a fairly new airline, and also a very small one.
This particular airline have very small planes, ... ...When we arrived at Taba we were shown exactly where to go, the Egyptian tour operator was very helpful, but it was a mad rush at the airport, as it is very small, and the tour operators wanted you to buy a visa at the airport for those that wanted to go on trips to Cairo or to Israel. (They tell you that you have to buy these at the airport, it simply isnt true the Marriott can supply these if you need them, so need to queue for hours on end on arrival).

Beach paradise undiscovered by Brits
Advantages: Clean, Feels exclusive, Very affordable Disadvantages: Pharoah's Revenge still found me!
...I stayed at the Sultan Bey hotel and couldn't fault it. The rooms were clean and clutter-free with ensuite facilities, television, minibar and air conditioning. The food was excellent, with buffet-style breakfast and evening dining in european and asian styles. TIP: Sultan Bey, along with several of the other hotels and restaurants, operated a dining plan where, even if you were on half-board at a particular hotel, you could dine at one of the partner ... ...the best features of the Sultan Bey was the quiet at night. Having stayed in places where music and noise from discos, clubs and general party-going destroys a night's sleep, I loved the peace I got here. Sultan Bey has its own island, which can be reached by bridge (after a 20 minute walk) or by a half-hourly ferry boat, taking ten minutes. As a resident of the hotel, you are free to use the facilities free of charge, with others there is a small ...

I didn't feel I had paid enough - it was amazing!
Advantages: Many of them, flight not too long, very high quality, great food, great location, fantastic! Disadvantages: The sun went down a little too early...but you cannot blame the hotel for that!
We went to this hotel in October, the weather was certainly hot enough at that time of year. I had seen pictures on the internet, but know from experience that often pictures can be deceiving!
We flew from Manchester, with a flight of just 5 hours, which is long enough to sample the food that the flight had to offer (Mmmmm!) and watch a film. It is not a bad flight time to somewhere that has great weather and fantastic culture. I had been to Egypt ... ...well organized. We seemed to get off the plane on to a coach quite quickly. It was dark by the time be landed, so not realizing that we were travelling through the Sinai Mountains, as I couldn't see them, I presumed the driver was a typical Egyptian not able to keep the vehicle going in a straight line! They are pretty scary on the roads! But on the journey back to the airport two weeks later, realized he had actually done quite well! The Hotel was ...

Movenpick Spa Resort - Swiss Hospitality
Advantages: Clean, Tidy, lots of choice Disadvantages: No t-shirts in the pool, beach not so good
This hotel is very clean and tidy and very professionally run. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble for any of them. They all made an effort to speak with the children and made us all feel welcome.
Although the hotel was fully booked we never really felt as though we were packed in. The hotel and it's grounds are very spacious.
There are numerous restaurants on site all with a very good choice and high standard ... ...on site.
There are serval pools too, one is a noisy pool where children can play volleyball and generally make a noise and there is another that is a quiet pool where children are encouraged to been seen and not heard. One thing though, children (or anyone for that matter) are not allowed to wear a t-shirt in the pool. So make sure you take high factor sun protection.
There is also a childrens play area (away from the pool), a kids club, tennis ...

Windsurfing and diving in the Red Sea at Dahab
Advantages: Touch of luxury Disadvantages: Busy hotel with lots of guests
...developed than Sharm, and although the shops and restaurants compete for your custom, they are less pushy than in the larger towns and cities. I liked eating out, by the sea with the warm summer wind and relaxed atmosphere.
Next time I will stay at the Swiss Inn! ...
