You should visit El Hatillo, in the outskirts of Caracas. It is a colonial and charming town, in which you can find a wide variety of handicrafts and taste an exquisite dinner (eat a pizza !!). In fact, you might say that El Hatillo is inside Caracas Area but preserves his colonial architecture.
If you find a friend in Caracas with a car, please, ask him/her to drive to peripheral routes (Lagunita-Alto Hatillo-Los Naranjos) You’ll see beautiful views of the city lights from the top of the hills.

Talk about a spectacular lobby! I had seen pictures on the internet, but didn't think it would really look that grand. But it did! Marble, impressive double staircases, chrome mirrored lifts, plush seating and plants all around, I wondered if we'd really got the right hotel! Costing around £330 per person for 10 days in April, I didn't expect it to live up to its 4* status, but it really did! The porters were wearing smart red suits and were eager to take our bags and suitcases for us, and didn't expect money like the guys at the airport did! We were shown to our room and although we had requested a sea view, we hadn't paid for one so didn't get one/ The room was fine...
