El Open Arms, Torremolinos, Costa del Sol

Advantages: everything about the place is an advantage.
Disadvantages: the non smoking policy (for some)

...There is also a coach available from right outside the hotel which will take you on the coastal tour along the very impressive Costa del Sol front. Most of the attractions and coach tours can be booked from within the hotel but you can also just go to the bus stop spur of the moment and catch the coach and pay at the doors of all these attractions. Back to the hotel itself and on to the cost. Obviously I booked this as most people would as a package holiday; it was booked through Thomas cook and cost £725 all inclusive per adult for a fortnight. That was the cost the last time I visited which was just over 2 years ago now, whilst not the cheapest holiday available it was no where near the most expensive and was worth every penny in my view. Advantages: Good for Children

...Holiday Village,Benalmadena-Costa del sol, stayed 2 weeks from 14 july 2007 Flight 2 and a half hours with First Choice was short and on time so really good as I hate flying!! Transfer From Malaga airport it takes about half an hour to transfer to the hotel, it is on the outskirts of Benalmadena. Check-in If you fill out the registration form on your transfer it is quick and easy. The staff were curtious and pleasant at all times. Hotel set half way between Benalmadena and Fuengirola and not good for a stroll into either, its too far from both ,catch a bus! The Living Room Well this was my first let-down, as before we went away we had heard there was building work going on at the back of the hotel and also at the beach club where most of the pools are located. Advantages: Easy to get to, UK friendly with a touch of spain
Disadvantages: Not for the seasoned traveller

...Some people love nerja, others hate it. I think it depends on what you expect when you come here and what you came to spain looking for. When I first travelled up to Nerja I was told "its full of lager louts", "Its all british", " its full of tourists you can´t move".´This is not strictly true. Yes the british are here, and sometimes in great numbers but I have always found them to be a friendly well behaved bunch. Nerja is a lovely coastal town on the Costa Tropical. It is also listed in many guildes and brochures as the Costa del Sol which is not strictly true and the local certainly don´t regard themselves as being on the Costa del Sol. It´s clean, lively and bustles with life all year round. True in the height of summer there are many more tourists and you are unlikely to go anywhere and not hear an english voice... Read review
