Advantages: Good location. Lively atmosphere Authentic Disadvantages: Gets busy
The El Macho Mexican Restuarant is located in Hope Street, the appropriately named street that separates the two Cathedrals in
Liverpool. It is a very convenient location -not far from the city centre or the University.I have been to El Macho's twice and must say I liked the simple rustic decor, the friendly, exuberant service, the food
and the drinks. For the quality of the food on offer,it is also reasonably priced. It is a lively spot and gets very busy so it is
probably wise to book a table.I have been told that Sir Paul McCartney, when he is in town ,likes to visit this little corner of Mexico but he wasnt there when I was.

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of El Macho Restaurant
Advantages: Very convenient when shopping Disadvantages: Not exactly a scenic location but that is not why its there.
was just too delicious. I wouldn't have gone there if we hadn't been on a shopping trip, but I would definitely go back to any Corte Ingles restaurant for the same reason, convenience, even though it was competitively priced (Much cheaper than England of course)
However Malaga has a surfeit of good eating places and I would definitely not go there specifically to eat at night with so many more attractive venues available and all at very fair prices.
The Spanish demand a high standard for their food and you get it here. This certainly is way above what you would get in any British supermarket "caff" and a welcome and relaxing break from shopping, even if you are in El Corte Ingles.
By the way most shops in Spain have their sales in January and February and what you can save here would more than pay for your meal.

Advantages: Always one close by, quick turn out, children are welcome and catered for. Disadvantages: Toilets can be quite disturbing, not all dishes taste as good they are described.

**** Parking and Getting a Table *****
As with most of the Harvester's I have visited, there is usually ample free parking at the rear of the establishment. However on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunch times these places are heaving with customers, so avoid the crowds, go early and if possible ring and reserve a table. The Stag and Hounds is no exception but fortunately ...
