Advantages: Lovely beach and fantastic sunsets Disadvantages: Overall Accomodation not to standard
...We travelled to this resort for our honeymoon, what a dissappointment it was. Sandals Antigua promising the luxury get away for romatic couples was not what it appeared to be. We paid nearly £4000 for this two week all inclusive break and first impressions were ok. It was our honeymoon so we had been upgraded to a superior room free of charge, well i would have hated to have seen the basic rooms. We could not sit on the balcony because of large trees looming above. The aircon was noisy so had to be turned off to sleep. The resort and beach itself were nice enough and the food was pretty good in the restaurants, but the entertainment was poor unless you enjoy 14 different bob marley bands and the daytime snacks and bar left a lot to be desired. ...If you are looking for a caribbean holiday on a perfect beach in fine accomodation then look no further. I spent a week in Sandals Antigua for my honeymoon last year and was highly impressed. The hotels location could not be better, situated directly on one of the islands best beaches, with the restaurants overlooking the sea. Sandals is a fairly large, all-inclusive hotel. Advantages: excellent value for money, watersports included with good tuition offered Disadvantages: rooms are small and functional but how much time do you spend in your room
...We have just returned from the Jolly beach Resort, Antigua.
We were a party of 9 , age range from 19 - 60.
This is a great place for a group holiday but also suitable for families and couples.
The non motorised water sports are free, excellent tuition is offered and there are plenty of sail boats, canoes, windsurfers available for use, we never had to wait.
Also available are jet skis at a very reasonable cost of 20 us$ (about £11) for 15 minutes. tremendous fun.
There is unlimited food and drinks available, a choice of an itialian, indian and fish restaurant as well as a buffet choice every evening. The standard of food is good and the service friendly.
There is a nice harbour within five minutes walk of the hotel , with local shops and a supermarket. There is a shop on the resort complex.
There are plenty of tours...
