Acropolis from its stunning rooftop swimming pool, just one of the features which sets this classy address apart from the rest. picturesque quarter of Plaka, just 3 minutes walking from Syntagma Square, the Parliament and the business and commercial district. Recently, the Athens Electra Palace Hotel has been completely re-constructed, refurbished and expanded and now operates with the most contemporary equipment of the 21st century. The building?s façade has changed completely to a ?new-classical? style impressively lightened at night and together with the hotel?s exclusive interior style with its wooden and antique furniture, creates a unique feeling of class and luxury.

...The resort of Ixia in Rhodes is not very attractive and dull.In July and August it is recomended to hire a car as it can be a nightmare trying to catch a bus anywhere (Allways full)or getting a taxi.
Rhodes old town is a fascinating maze of streets surrounded by moats and 2 miles of walls dominated by the Palace of the Grand Masters.
Lindos is well worth a visit for the clifftop acropolis (you can hire a four legged taxi to the top)nice beech too.
A boat trip to the nearby island of Symi is also recomended....

Advantages: Warm and friendly people, fantasic scenery. Disadvantages: Dangerous car hire in Lindos
...On my third holiday to Greece we decided to go to Rhodes. I decided on Rhodes because of the history of the island.
Rhodes is a beautiful country with many places to visit. The beaches are sandy and plentiful and the locals are friendly and helpful.
Rhodes Town is large and to see it all you will need a couple of days wandering around all of the narrow streets. The palace of the knights in Rhodes Town is great and the harbour is amazing to imagine the Colossus standing accross.
Other places in Rhodes to visit is the small island off the southern end of Rhodes. This can be got to by wadding through waistheight warm water, and is tremdous fun. Another place to go is the valley of the butterflies (which should really be seen during July when the butterflies are actually there) if not July it is a lovely walk. Kalithea and Seven...

Advantages: beautiful island; excellent food and drink Disadvantages: travel times weren't great
...Recently returned from a week long break in Rhodes staying at the Atlantica Beach Hotel in Kolymbia. It is an all-inclusive hotel costing £460 per person for a week at the end of September. For anyone who hasn't been to Rhodes are is looking for an all-inclusive break, I would recommend this without hesitation. The foos is fantastic and you can eat as much as you like. The drink flows until you can have no more and it covers everything including soft drinks, wine, beer and cocktails. Service is brilliant and it is set in a stunning part of the island. The beach is only 200m away and it is a beautiful sand and stone beach. The weather was hot and sunny every day and a tan is easy to get. Did a day trip to Rhodes and Lindos. Lindos is lovely but wouldn't spend more than an hour there. Not a lot to do. Rhodes Town is stunning and would...
