childhood book which inspired her, "Ponny The Penguin", a tale about the Southern Lights or the Aurora Australis, written by Veronica Bassett. We are treated to a view of the aged pages, where curtains of jade cascade down from the sky illuminating the toes of the penguins that stand in awe in electric green.
The Aurora Australis is the southern version of the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights. It was childhood stories of Vikings and trolls, along with the tale of Ponny, which led her to this childhood longing to see the Northern Lights.
