...Not only is Atlanta often 95 degrees farenheit in the shade in summer months, but it's one HOT city for career opportunities, night-life, unbelievably affordable housing on large lots of land compared to any other city in the world, and great people to meet. Atlanta is home to the famous baseball team, the Atlanta Braves. Good luck finding a ticket these days! We have many other professional sports teams, major musical concerts, a wonderful symphony, ballet and opera of our very own as well as a hopping theatre scene. In the metro Atlanta area, you can buy a very nice, large home on a full acre of wooded land for $180,000 easy. The newer homes are being built on much smaller lots but there are still an abundance of homes built in the 1970's and 80's that have lots of land, trees and space galore. This is the time to move here...

...For some of you looking to settle down in a city that is metropolitan and yet affordable, then this is one option you shouldn't overlook. Normally, we think of cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and the rest as real metro cities and true they are. But Atlanta, not having perhaps half of the skyscrapers these other cities have is a big contender for the person that wants to have a bit of both urban and sub-urban worlds in one city.
My first surprise was when we were approaching touch down. there being so much haze in the air I could not see the city skyline from a distance, but what was the real surprise was the amount of forest scattered across the city. Yes forest, not just trees. Atlanta is a heavily wooded city. It's a bit hard to describe cos I've not encountered a city with so much greenery.

...When you think of America, the obvious places to go are Boston, Florida and New York, however there is now a city that can challenge these and that is Atlanta, Unspoilt by tourism as yet they provide all the essentials, shopping Malls, Outlet centres and excellent restaurants. The best value for money is places like the Jimmy Carter Presidential Centre it is a must for all people old and young and at $5 excellent value for money, here you can trace Carter's rise from peanut farmer to President through pictures articles and video, there is also a replica of the Oval Office. You will also see gifts from other coutries leaders and after you have finished, you can take a stroll around the Japenese Gardens or have a drink in the restaurant. Other musts are a tour of CNN studios at $6 and the World of Coca Cola at $12 here you get to sample...

I decided to extend a day trip to london and stay overnight, just me and my 6 year old boy. This was very last minute booking 18.00 hours the night before the stay to be exact.
