Advantages: Nice venue with three rooms, fun to dress up, a mixture of music. Disadvantages: Too many stairs and stares in the street on the way there!

The Emporium also does proper dance and drum n bass nights at the weekend with big name DJ's. I would imagine this would be well worth checking out as it's a great venue (although there are too many stairs!).
Pigtails, long socks and trainers. I never thought I would find it fun to wear school uniform, but when my friend came to stay with me at uni we decided to go to a school disco club night at The Emporium, which is on the High Street in the centre of Cardiff, opposite pizza hut. The school disco is every Tuesday night, and is called Hoochie Koochie.
We felt a bit self-concious walking round the streets in school uniform and we got a lot of strange looks and a few comments. I was actually quite worried that I would get asked for ID as I'm quite small as it is and what with my drawn on freckles I really did look as though I had come straight from school.
It costs £1.50 to get in if you are in uniform, £2.50 if not. Quite reasonable, methinks. The place is huge. It's a big house, with lots of different rooms and long corridors. The decor is quite nice, with pillars and nice sofas. There were some cheap drinks; selected bottles at £1.50 so we got down to seme serious home economics(translate as drinking) and PE (dancing).
It said on the flyer that the music was 70's, 80's and 90's. There were actually 3 different rooms all playing different music. The top room (the attic of the house) which was quite small, was playing old dance music, like "Sash!". The main room, where we danced was playing a whole mixture, from Grease to Thriller. Quite enjoyable stuff when you are a bit intoxicated. There were lots of toilets with enough toilet paper (very important!) and mirror space.
The crowd was quite mixed; students and locals. It wasn't very full, but then it is a huge club and it was a week night.
All in all I would say this is an enjoyable night to go to with your mates and dress up and dance round like loonies. However, I can't see myself dressing up in school uniform every week (it's not very flattering!) so I would say it's best for an occasional night out.
The Emporium also does proper dance and drum n bass nights at the weekend with big name DJ's. I would imagine this would be well worth checking out as it's a great venue (although there are too many stairs!).
Advantages: Top DJ's Disadvantages: Cramped, lack or air conditioning, drugs galore
I find it hard to find a satisfactory conclusion regarding the Emporium. I went there to see Paul Van Dyk back in February and didnt have the best of nights to say the least. Don't get me wrong, the club regularly attracts top name DJ's and with regular stints from the TIME FLIES team the club is definitely good in that respect. They layout however was a problem, with a very narrow, cramped dance floor and no air conditioning leaving you soaked in ... ...it doesnt even belong to you. I swear there was sweat dripping off the sealing onto people, which left me feeling sick at times.
Also the drugs problem there is both blatant and stupid, with people virtually shoving it in your face. I mean i know drugs play a large part in modern clubbing, but for people like myself who are capable of having a good time without getting off my face, we dont want pathetic idiots forcing it upon us all the time.

WEBSITE. I haven't found a website relating to the Newcastle restaurant, but I believe it must be a franchised restaurant, because there seem to be Nagomi Emporiums in several places.

This is going to appear very unkind, but I can obviously comment only from my own experiences, and they were not good. I can comment only on our meal, on what was probably, if not the busiest night of the year, then one of them. In my opinion, when a Christmas menu was offered, then there should have been enough food to give customers the dishes as stated on the menu. Had one or even two not been available, then this would have been understandable, but when each course had only two dishes ...
Advantages: Relaxed and comfortable; Good selection of products Disadvantages: Location; Prices
There’s a little known shop in a run-down backstreet of London that provides an essential service to women of all persuasions, lifestyles and ages. A shop that promotes the liberation of sexual freedom: the non-repressive, non-Victorian values of a modern world that is obsessed by SEX, SEX and SEX!
And don’t we love it?
Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium is exactly what it suggests: a shop selling a range of sex related merchandise FOR Women.
On a recent visit to London, I decided to take the plunge and visit this little rarity. At last! I’d only lived in London for six years but never had the ‘bottle’ to take a trip to the shop (Coward!). So, here it goes. Are you sitting comfortably? Are the men in the audience ready to be titillated? Very well, I’ll begin…
Sh! is located in ...
