I used Enterprise several times whilst at uni in Canterbury. A couple of times to get me back up to Manchester when my parents couldn't collect me, about 3 times to visit my girlfriend in Nottingham and also once for a trip to Brighton. I've since used them once when my car had to go in for repairs and once for a business trip.
Each time Enterprise were very helpful - they really couldn't do enough to help. Every time they came and collected me (even when I live about 500 metres from their depot - at that time I didn't know where they were!). I find this collection/drop-off facility incredibly useful and I'm sure that it gets them alot of business.
They have a good range of cars - right from basic Corsa's etc upto e-class Mercedes. I've driven a Corsa, an Nissan Almera and also a Vectra. All three were immaculately kept inside and out (which was excellent in the Vectra which I used for the above mentioned business trip - it made a good impression on my boss!). They also did not suffer any of the rental car syndromes - dodgy clutch/knocking from the engine (all symptoms of being cared badly for).
I've only had one issue with one of the Corsa's I had - and that was that the boot didn't open (not entirely useful since I wanted to lug all my stuff back home from uni!) but they were great about it and upgraded me to the Almera, which was a 1.4 which they wouldn't usually let out to under 21's at the time. When I used enterprise for my uni trips - they allowed me to pick it up from Canterbury and leave it in Manchester office, I know other firms do this but usually charge extra - I wasn't charged, but they made sure I had the same car to come back in. Everyone's a winner.
They have a cracking weekend deal - think it was something like £10 a day for 3 days over the weekend. Which includes all the usual paraphanalia (CDW etc). These prices may have changed since I last used Enterprise for weekend hire.
I would really recommend Enterprise as the 1st port of call for anyone wanting hire cars - I've never been let down even late on a Thursday wanting to pick up at 8am on the Friday. Excellent firm to deal with.

Hey there, I saw your review about Enterprise Rent a Car, and it seems that you are saying they rent to people under 21? (I am 19). But on the website it says they only take people from 21 and over... Do you know how I could get hold of a car with them, and if not, what other car company rent to people under 21. Thanks a lot for your help. Best wishes, E NB: btw I am a student at southampton uni, and would need a car as well very occasionally like you!

Nice easy to read, helpful and informative review there, I wish I could say the same about them. Enterprise were my Insurance companys designated courtesy car supplier after I had a bump last year, and they were appalling, even charged me £50 ( cash only ) deposit before they would let me have the courtesy car, so they will NEVER get any more of my business again..........Roy.....
