Canon has for a long time been renowned for its high quality cameras with superb image quality and good value for money.
The Canon EOS 450D is no exception: rugged build, high quality images from Canon's renowned CMOS sensor, and good battery life and usability all contribute to the making of an excellent entry lever DSLR camera.
In terms of picture quality, I feel Canon is unrivalled, and the 450D upholds this reputation. The 12.2MP and CMOS sensor produce excellent results in all light conditions. In bright light, the Canon has no issues sensoring quickly and almost always producing a result in auto and manual modes. The meter is swift and reliable, producing results that are frequently bettered by knowledge of the manual mode and histogram, but nevertheless excellent.
The images from low light situations are also very good ...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Unfriendly staff and very poor customer service
for two coffees. We asked why and were told by the young woman (daughter) that these were served to us at breakfast. This hotel has a buffet breakfast, including coffee. We have stayed at dozens of hotels in Italy and Europe and have NEVER been charged for a second cup of coffee at a buffet breakfast. This extra charge was ridiculous, but was representative of the way we were treated overall at this poorly managed hotel. The only positive aspect of this place is the view of the Mediteranean Ocean. Our advice would be to skip the HotelEos; you can do much better in this area for the same money. ...

The Canon EOS 1000D is an excellent entry level camera. I bought it in September 2008 for £384 with the 18-55mm lens and a £50 cashback from Canon themselves.
The picture quality is excellent with a basic range of settings that are excellent for beginners to learn the ropes of photography. The build quality and reliability of this Canon is very good and i have had no problems or faults with it what so ever. Battery life is also very good and you can easily have a day out without worry of your Canon dying on you.
For the price i feel it has all the functions you need to take excellent photographs and would definately recommend it to friends or family if looking to buy an entry level camera. The instruction booklet that comes included is also very user friendly and something you can learn alot from, especially if you are a beginner like ...
