Advantages: Beach front, great price, central location Disadvantages: Dining area and gneral hotel facilities
...! Not nice! The poolside bar is quite expensive compared to other bars in the areas (especially the Irish bar and bar next door).
4. Reception. Be prepared for a wait! I\'m sure that \'just a minute\' has a whole new meaning in Cyprus. Ok once you\'re used to it.
Now the Good Stuff:
1. Beach Front location - and I really do mean that! Tilt your head over the bannister at the foot of the swimming pool and you drop into the sea! There\'s not much of a beach per say, but just to the right as you look out to sea is a nice little sheltered inlet with some dark sand.
2. Food on your doorstep. This hotel is literally in the heart of Limassol. As you come out of the hotel you have a huge range of restaurants to the right. Reasonably priced and many have a 2/3 course special.
3. Bars - again, all around you. One good one is next door to the hotel...

AMATHUS INFO Review ofAmathus BeachHotel (Limassol)by

Advantages: ONE OF THE TOP HOTELS IN THE WORLD, SO HIGHER THAN AVERAGE SERVICE, CLOSE TO SEA . Disadvantages: MAYBE ONLY THAT IT IS A BUS OR TAXI JOURNEY FROM THE MAIN TOWN OF LIMASSOL
...is expensive but with a 5 star rating and top quality service is value for money, prices are , quote , around april time about £600 for a 7 day stay on b&b or £900 on 14 days to high season around £800 for 7 days to £1300 for 14 days although these prices should only be used as a guide , i am sure that better prices can be obtained in special offers . 1st children vary in price from a low of £250 to just over £300 . The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools as well as the largest indoor swimming pool ,as well as a childrens pool. Also with its own fish tavern and a,la carte also gastronomic restuarent give good variety of choice for the hotel client. I would certainly recommend this Hotel and also the sister hotel The Paphos Amathus BeachHotel again a 5 star hotel , a recently built complex but with a first class reputation. The limassol...

Advantages: Central position on the island of Cyprus, loads of bars and places to eat, friendly people, not too far from the airport Disadvantages: Gets very crowded, beach not too brilliant
...My fiance and I went to Limassol for a fortnight this summer, and had the best holiday yet! We stayed in a bungalow studio at the Roussos Beachhotel, which was spacious, clean and overlooked the enormous and extremely warm pool (as do all the bungalows in the two storey-block). The restaurant at the hotel was outdoors, but covered with an ENORMOUS vine, from which massive bunches of grapes hung, turning from pale green to darker red whilst we were there. The food there wasn't great - I wouldn't recommend half board there, because there are so many restaurants to try in Limassol, from either la carte or the set price 'tourist' meals (as little as £5 for three courses) at one of the hundreds that line the Limassol Strip, through McDonalds (air conditioned you see - brilliant when it's 35 degrees or more outside!) to the latest Pizza...
