A palace to eat in !

Advantages: Best indian food, great surroundings
Disadvantages: None at all

Moghul Palace Restaurant Stony Stratford Milton Keynes I visited this wonderful restaurant last Friday as it was my ladyfriends birthday and wanted to take her somewhere different. I had only been in stony Stratford a few times before and never really tried any of the restaurants there. I had passed by this one before as it stands out very well in the town having been converted from an old chapel into an Indian restaurant. You are probably all thinking what a bad idea this must have been and what it must have done to disfigure the old chapel. I didn't really know what to expect myself as I had heard on the grapevine mixed reactions about the place but after hearing some really good comments I decided to book this up. We arrived from about a twenty five minute journey from Leighton Buzzard to the outskirts of Milton Keynes ...

Review of Moghul Palace (Milton Keynes)

in bruges

Advantages: wonderful acting, good story and great scene variation, nice town also
Disadvantages: the ending was predictable based on characterisation

in bruges cast director - martin Mcdonagh ken - brendan gleeson ray ? colin farrell rhloe - clemence poesy jimmy jordan prentice harry ralph fiennes this film was martin mcdonagh's first film, though he had previously made a short film called ?six shooter's? a few years earlier. i remember seeing six shooters on film four, and it would not surprise me to see this film one day on the same channel. the structures of these two films are similar, the plots are known fairly quickly and the acting is really good. using trains and train platform scenes also took place in both films. the one thing i question is the originality of in bruges as crime and shooting films are nothing new. set in bruges, a picturesque medieval town in Belgium. during the film we get to see the canals, the views ...

Review of In Bruges (DVD)

See Holland in a Day!!

Advantages: small, good public transport
Disadvantages: not that many attractions

during the second world war, so many of the city?s buildings only date from the 1950?s. What can you see here? I doubt that the Hague features prominently on many people's list of 'places to see before I die', and not without reason. As already mentioned, it's a small city, with relatively few tourist attractions. Parts of it are quite pretty and it does have it?s share of canals (not as many as Amsterdam, which, incidentally actually has more canals than Venice), populated with houseboats. However, there are a few things of note. First, the Peace Palace (Vredes Paleis)- this is the place where actual countries are put on trial for war crimes. It's quite beautiful. Guided tours are available for a cost (?5). Depending on the make-up of the group the tour will be either in English or in Dutch. However even if you find yourself ...
