I visited the Esplanade Hotel, Fremantle, WA in June 2006 to run a conference for work, which really is the only way I would have been able to stay there, as it is a little out of my price range (although most places are!). Certainly though, the price does reflect the quality of the hotel as the standards of customer care, both to business guests and tourists is absolutely excellent.
The hotel has a long history, with a building in various forms ... ...no hesitation in recommending the Esplanade both to tourists and to business guests as my whole stay there was memorable for all the right reasons. I could go on and on singing the praises of this hotel, but I won't bore you. Their website has all the information you will need on the hotel and some of the history of the building.
