This is another hotel from Accor, the founders of Ibis. However i am reviewing the Etap hotel situated on the outskirts of Paris, within an area known as KremlinBicetre. In this area, you have the choice between an Ibis hotel, a Novotel and the Etap, as well as various other smaller establishments, of which the Etap is by far the least expensive. The Etap Hotel ParisPorteD'Italie is split into two buildings; Ouest (west) and Est (east). Whereas the western hotel has 144 rooms, the eastern has 171. However both offer the same value for money. But please remember these are low budget, no frills hotels so don't expect to be living in the lap of luxury!
The French Etaps are cheaper than those in the UK and will only set you back 48 Euros (around £33) per room per night. But bear in mind there is a 3 Euro suppliment for the second ...
Advantages: Very clean and cheap Disadvantages: None!
normally not at all fussed about having breakfast as I find that it is cheaper and more enjoyable to just go to a normal café' and have freshly baked cake or pastries. In general the breakfast experience was positive.

Sad as it may sound we did leave the table with a couple of croissants and jams in our pockets!
As far as location this hotel was 10 min max from the Porte St. Ouen underground line and you could reach the centre of Paris within a few ...

THE AUTHOR:
The author Julia Gregson was a former Hardie Amies model and she moved to Austrlia where she took up journalism. This took her to New York, Los Angeles, India and Vietnam as a foreign correspondent for magazines. She was inspired to write this novel by her husband telling her about the Indian ?Fishing Fleet? of young women who came out on the liners to look for suitable husbands as there were so many available men compared to women in India in the 1920s.
THE STORY:
The heroine of the novel is Viva Holloway who ...
