This is another hotel from Accor, the company behind Ibis and Etap. But if you thought the latter were low budget hotels, wait until you have heard about this one! If you are travelling to another location by car or by plane and need somewhere to rest, this is ideal. As the crow flies, the nearest airport is le Bourqet, which is about 10km away but Orly is only a short drive more. Sitaued just off the Boulevard Péphérique, this hotel is good for overnight stays, but nothing else. The area in which the hotel is situated isnt anything special; grafitti sees to be a common feature in the roads surrounding the hotel. However, the hotel iself is fairly pleasant, with the rooms being rather modern and usually pretty clean. Etap Hotel Paris Porte D'Italie, Kremlin Bicetre

Disadvantages: Quality of rooms

10km away - closer than Charles de Gaulle. However, it may prove costly to get a taxi from the airport to the hotel, so i recommend hiring a car. If you have hired a car, the city centre can be reached within 15 minutes (its about 5km away). The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the Porte d'Italie metro station, from which you will be able to access the city centre. This is perfect for those people visiting Paris by car but who don't want to deal with the congestion of the city centre! To sum up the Etap Porte d'Italie, i would say that its perfect for a few nights stay, but not for a weeks holiday. This hotel is porbably best suited for groups of three or less, as you will have to book two rooms to accomodate extra persons. Cheap as croissants!

Advantages: Very clean and cheap
Disadvantages: None!

normally not at all fussed about having breakfast as I find that it is cheaper and more enjoyable to just go to a normal café' and have freshly baked cake or pastries. In general the breakfast experience was positive. People sit around a circular table which has a raised middle area where waiters would put baskets full of croissants, normal bread and the sweet french bread. On another area you would have all sorts of jams, butter, yougurts and of course tea, coffee and juice. It felt a bit like a modest church cafeteria with noises of people chatting away and waiters making noises with cutlery, glasses.. Sad as it may sound we did leave the table with a couple of croissants and jams in our pockets!
