Advantages: CLEAN, LOCAL IDEAL TO COMMUTE Disadvantages: CRAMPED SPACE
...When I decided on a short break down to London, I was totally stumped on somewhere to stay that was really close to the main attractions and also steered by the price.
The Corus Hotel Hyde Park looked to be in an ideal location just 5 minutes walk from Lancaster Gate Tube station (100 yards)and 15 minutes away from Heathrow Airport where I had flown into perfect I thought.
This hotel overlooks the infamous Hyde Park, hence the name and was only 3 stops from shoppers paradise.

Advantages: Cheap, comfortable hotel in ideal location Disadvantages: Not very welcoming appearance
...As a regular visitor to Corus Hotels due to the fantastic discount that I get on a trip to London recently to visit friends we were looking for a hotel located close by and found this one the Chiltern, previously a member of the Corus Group it has recently transferred to the Swallow Hotel Group, however still retaining most of the character found in Corus Hotels.
***Booking***
I booked direct with the Corus Reservations team as I was getting a preferred rate, therefore I had to fax the hotel immediately after I made the reservation to confirm my work details. I was asked to provide my personal details as well as my work details and I then had to secure the booking with a debit or credit card, I was then provided with a confirmation reference and advised of the room terms and conditions. I then received a confirmation in the post 2 days...
